I was so happy to arrive to the relaxed mood at Mercure. In busy Singapore it is an oasis of calm. Great room crisp sheets, superb multiethnic breakfast. Excellent gym. Recommended.

I attended a conference at RELC and I found this hotel at a good and reasonable price. It is clean and convenient with reasonable facilities. Breakfast could be better and I used the Novotel restaurant at level 2 instead of the one at the ground floor,. The difference is HUGE. Overall I am happy with the cleanliness and quality,

« Good value, new hotel with nice gym and pool »

Stayed at this hotel a couple times as it's new and rate is good. Location is not far from Orchard but not walking distance from MRT station. They provide shuttle bus to DFS mall at scotts road. There is also a nearby bus stop that takes you to Orchard road if you can familiarize yourself with the bus routes. Nice gym and pool, breakfast was just average for Mercure standard. The water pressure for the shower was too low, took me much longer time to shower. I would rate higher if they had fixed it next time.

That's not up to my expectations. My name were mistaken to Mr instead of Mrs. About the room, those set up like slippers, tower, ... was just 1 set like a room for 1 person. I also didn't get my deposit back yet since 7 Nov- my account still block the amount you ask for deposit.

The hotel has released all the funds immediately upon check-out however depending on the banking institution, it may take between 7 to 14 days to release the funds back into your account. « Nice infinity pool but breakfast experience was appalling »

I really enjoyed the infinity pool. It was the highlight of our stay there. The breakfast experience on the other hand was quite attrocious. It was very chaotic and not well managed to handle more than the average number of guests. The pathway to the fruits and tea and also eggs station was very narrow and could not accomodate more than 3 people at a time. The delegation of tables to the guests was done very military like and made the guests generally unhappy. The stress of the situation should not be transferred to you guests.

« Expecting too much »

1) Forgot to include breakfast when I booked the room so I immediately called “Mercure SG on Stevens” hotline to reserve for breakfast and was told to pay upon check-in. Upon check-in I was very willing to pay immediately for breakfast but was told to just proceed to Winehouse if we want to eat our breakfast. End up I didnt eat there coz I feel like im an outcast. Like just an outsider and walk-in to eat. What about giving me a card, receipt or something so I dont need to explain again and again? 2) Upon check-in, I told the guy receptionist wheres the lift to my room but he showed me the way to Winehouse. So I go out the hotel proceeded to Winehouse then lost my way like a kitten. I went back to reception area again and speak each and every word where is the lift going to my room. Bravo! 3) Receptionists were slow upon checking in guests as compared to so many types of hotels that I have stayed before. Top mngt please look into this. Thanks. 4) I requested for comb, lotion, and SHAVING KIT but was given comb, lotion, and VANITY KIT. Wow! That day was so frustrating! 5) Lap pool and infinity were nice place to enjoy and relax, luckily. Fitness gym equipment were new and maintained well, thumbs up. Overall, not really a good experience for my stay. Service is good but something is lacking. Will think again if I will come back next time.

We turned off the lamps , however the lamps keep turning on automatically hourly . It was very annoying. The breakfast not much choices and not very good taste,need to improve.

1. It was a wonder short overnight stay to experience the new hotel. 2. Floor Signage could be improved on though as directional signage to lift lobby not too clear on the floor i was staying at. 3. The common corridor seems a bit narrow than usual and was a bit more narrower with the standard cleaning trolley parked at the corridor.

The location is near Orchard Road, with shuttle service. Not exactly that convenient. The room is small and there is no real view in its context. It is new and modern. Staff try to be polite but not very professionally. For example one staff said I will teach you how to use WiFi on check in. He could have said I will explain or show you. It is not cheap. I drove and the car parking system immediately deducted my card before I can even have time to pull out CashCard and paid $30 plus when it should be complimentary. I was not happy.
