Exceptionally good value

I felt suspicious of how many 5* reviews this hotel has despite it being so much cheaper than some of the other 5*s in the area - but I could not find a single thing to fault. Rooms are modern and clean. I was surprised by how spacious they were for a city centre hotel at this price point. Coming from London, we couldn’t believe it! You get fantastic views of the city from wherever you are in the hotel. Being able to watch the sun come up over the city from our bed the first morning was a great introduction to Mexico. Great service from reception, bellhops and at breakfast. In particular, Maria on reception was excellent. Very attentive housekeeping. They noticed we went through lots of waters and left plenty extra. The location was perfect for our purposes. Walkable to Roma Norte (depending on your definition of walkable - it was about 20 mins to Panadería Rosetta, which I highly recommend) and very easy and cheap to get Ubers elsewhere. This was the perfect base for our first trip to Mexico City. The only reason we would stay elsewhere in future was if we wanted to be in a different neighbourhood.

Sofitel Reforma was amazing! We booked a balcony suite with angel of Independence view...best room in hotel hands down! The suites have access to a private dining area , Club Millesime , which was a huge advantage when wanting breakfast or a drink. Sophia, Andrea and Laura are so welcoming as well as all of the servers in the vip lounge. The restaurant is 1/2 a mile away from the castle and numerous museums, very safe area and ubers are readily available. Their rooftop bar is very popular and definitely needs rsvp- Pool was not busy so it was enjoyable to have to ourselves, gym is small but we didn't have a problem getting equipment and the Balta restaurant and the bartenders there are very friendly. Joshua in the Freehouse bar was incredibly friendly and made the best drinks!The only things we weren't fans of was the lobby bar, as drinks took awhile and weren't great, also concierge is located in the street entrance and we didn't find they were super helpful to us as suite guests, they seemed a bit busy with everyone coming and going into the hotel as well as doing correspondence for hotel guests. We managed by making most of the rsvp ourselves. Our last day, the hotel gifted us an amazing, ornate handmade mask, which was an amazing gesture. Regardless of the couple missed points of service, overall this is the best hotel in my opinion to stay and would recommend it to anyone

The BEST hotel in CDMX!

From the moment we stepped into the Sofitel we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. I've stayed in many luxury hotels, but the staff here truly stands out as the best I've ever encountered. Every single member, from the front desk (Sofía) to the Club Míllésime team (Natalia, Andrea, Miguel, Tomás, and Jordi) and concierge team (Vanessa, Diego and Elizabeth), went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect stay. It wasn't just their efficiency and professionalism, but their genuine kindness and willingness to help that made all the difference. They remembered our names, asked about our day, and always had a friendly word. It felt like staying with family, rather than at a hotel. The hotel itself is lovely – beautifully appointed, very comfortable rooms and a fantastic location. However, it was the exceptional service that truly made our trip memorable. (My 7 year daughter has told us she is going to live in Mexico City when she grows up… and specifically at this hotel. 😅) If you're looking for a hotel that will restore your belief in authentic hospitality, look no further than Sofitel Mexico City Reforma. I can't recommend it highly enough. We'll definitely be back!
