« The staff is very kind and accommodating but the facility is HORRIBLE! »

I was appalled that over 300 euros per night is being charged for this facility. It's small bare bones. I couldn't even comfortably take a shower because of the size. It's not luxurious, has no amenities, and I know the staff is just doing their best to keep people comfortable. I still feel cheated after visiting this facility. It's a 3 star at most. It would nice to get 50% of my money back because it wasn't worth any more than 600 euro for a 3 night stay

« Good hotel in a good location »

The hotel is in a very good location, the service is very good and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The room was small but we didn´t spend much time there except to sleep in and the bathroom is good. I can recommend the hotel to those who want to stay in a hotel in the center of Paris.

« Worst Mercure around the World »

Do not expect the level of quality of the other Mercure Hotels In my case, in addition, the hotel was under renovation and when I arrived the ceiling were open with cables pending, boxes were all around the area I suppose would be the reception, dust was everywhere. I asked for a dental kit which took about 30' to arrive (it was 1.30 in the night already) because it was probably stored somewhere. Rather than closing the hotel during renovation they kept selling rooms at regular prices without advising clients, not even platinum members like me. A horrible experience which I communicated to the hotel chain but got no answer. Bad experience, badly managed ... congratulations!!!

Rooms are tiny, the bathrooms are minute. The hotel is undergoing renovations so water and electricity were interrupted during my stay. The hotel was super expensive, however, I had to be close by, so I selected it. Not at all good value.

Tiny reception. Tiny room. Tiny corridor. Terrible breakfast. 1 small elevator busy or full. Unbelievably low value for money. You need to wait for 5 minutes in front of the door hotel at 3 pm in order for the only person available in the hotel to open

My husband and I were travelling with friends in rural F. and finished our holiday with four nights at the Mercure. From the moment we arrived all staff were friendly and full of local knowledge. The hotel is in a very central location and was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Although coming from a canal boat any bed would have seemed comfortable! A couple of things I noticed, being very environmentally conscious, was that the cups in the bathroom were plastic - and then covered in another layer of plastic. Our towels were hung up every day but housekeeping still replaced them with new ones. My only complaint was that the air conditioner wasn’t working properly. It was on 5 degrees and we still had to have the windows open to let in a cool breeze so we could sleep comfortably. Mohamed drove us out to the airport and he was super friendly and went the extra mile. I would definitely recommend Mercure St Germain to friends and family, and we would most definitely return if we find ourselves back in Paris! Karen

Staff very helpful and polite. With no doubt I would recommend the hotel. The only small problem was the display of the bedroom, as it was difficult to get to the wardrobe. Nevertheless a big thank you for the staff from the previous hotel which recommended us to the Notre-Dame hotel. They as well were extremely helpful and polite.

Our first stay at this hotel. We loved that while it was located within walking distance of metro Notre Dame etc and on the corner of a busy street, you didn’t hear the noise and in fact quite a little away from it all. The guys on reception were really efficient and friendly even while at times dealing with many clients. There’s a couple of spaces in the foyer to relax and bar service offered. Down a level is a breakfast room offering a reasonable selection of food @€17. While the corridors are narrow our room had a lot of width which allowed for a desk and chairs. However it was a bit tight at the end of the bed to get to the other side and the wardrobe (which had a bar fridge and safe). The bathroom was quite large with modern facilities. Overall our stay was very comfortable and we would stay again.

We stayed for three days in the Paris heatwave we enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Everyone was helpful and the services were good. The only drawback was the very small room which took a little getting used too though the air conditioning worked well
