Checked in late - girl on reception smiley and helpful. Good night sleep apart from being a bit hot but appreciate that due to health and safety guests are not able to open the windows fully. Very large room with tea / coffee making facilities. A1 breakfast and easy on line check out - would stay again as represents value for money - many thanks.

« Everything ok, however the hotel is more than a bit tired! »

Our first trip to Reading as we were attending Henley Royal Regatta. For the cost it was fine and included a very adequate continental breakfast. Hotel and rooms a bit shabby and showing their age. Location fine, on the frequent bus route into town.

« It is what it is! »

The room and facilities were very good. Staff excellent, helpful and courteous. It was very hot when I stayed and windows could only open a little, however I wouldn’t have opened anymore as the noise from Red Kangaroo behind the hotel was awful, but promptly turned off at 8pm to be fair. Breakfast quite small. I stayed in Ibis Style in Liverpool and breakfast was better, fruit salad, bigger pastries. Bus stop outside the door for those without car. For what I paid it was good.

Excellent checking in experience with friendly, helpful reception staff. We liked the complimentary drinks and lounge area. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and up to the usual Ibis standard. What let it down was the breakfast, which was a limited continental-style buffet. Charging extra for any cooked elements (again limited) seemed unexpectedly mean. Staff at breakfast seemed stressed and often sullen and resigned to the fact that they'd run out of things. I'd mistakenly thought that the Ibis Styles brand would be a slightly more upmarket experience and though good value for money, I think I prefer the standard Ibis in Brighton.

« I did not get what I asked for »

Approx 3 month's ago I made my reservation together with two other Rms, I specifically asked for a room for a disabled person, on the ground floor, with wet room or walk in shower as my wife is very Disabled and finds it extremely hard to walk,anywhere and is also unable to clime stairs, the person who took my reservation assured me that you had a room and it was there for me when i arrived.???? however when we arrived we found that this was not so, the was an issue with the accommodation this room had a maintenance problem, the receptionist did not understand what I was saying and did not seem very interested in what i was saying, We was put into Rm 301 the farthest room away from reception, on the top floor, with shower but you had to step up to get into, the only way my wife could get there was to walk, it was fortunate that we had family there with us to help, and my wife is still hurting now, so needles to say, not a very good weekend and we will not be staying at the Ibis or recommending it to any one else in the near future

My experience was good . I enjoyed staying in the ibis style hotel , enjoyed the breakfast which was nice and light for the hot weather , also I like the idea of unlimited hot drinks in the reception and apples. One thing I did not like was the ironing room which was only on the first floor, while my room was in the third floor , the iron needed water there was not where to get the water other than the room which means I did not iron my dress I had to wear something else. Other than that I enjoyed my stay .

Warm and friendly welcome from helpful staff. Disabled bathroom should have a walk in shower/wetroom not a bath. The breakfast bar is badly designed into a corner, making it crowded. The cleaners were a bit early with cleaning every day.

« A very easy compfortable place to stay.very impressed with staff and friendlyness »

We close this hotel for a second journey from NewZealand.even with a walk-in dissabily,every thing was fine. Also the food was carefully done with attention to allergies and eating disorders. The desk is superbly managed and the young Spanish girl should be given a medal for service and care. For me, The we room was safe and I feel the coffee and tea in the entrance foyer is such a nice touch. The cleaning and breakfast staff were also very nice and well trained.
