« Enjoyable and peaceful ! »

Even though the check in was late, the facilities are of good standing with transport readily available ! The Food suppliers are fast and of good quality!

« Unfriendly and unwelcoming »

The room was beautiful, the amenities awesome. The valet was rude as was the front desk attendant. The front desk attendant treated us as if asking her where could find ice in the hotel was a disrespectful question

« Unexpectedly spacious and convenient »

I'm an Accorhotels loyalist and chose to stay at this hotel to work towards Platinum status for the year and the rate was acceptable for the day I'm in New York, and I also had some points to burn. I found the shuttle services a great part of the offering and the hotel may benefit from highlighting this on its webpage, and providing guests with the shuttle information as a mailer once they've booked. The shuttle to the airport was expected, while the one to the subway station a real value-add. I was disappointed that I had to ask for the welcome amenity before it was given to me as I'm used to it being automatic. I loved how spacious the room was considering how the hotel looks from its exterior (a small cylindrical building) and that I got a big comfortable bed, and a good night's sleep while there. All the best!

« Room was strange, no privacy »

We attended a wedding and just needed a place to stay for the night. We shared a room with my sister and her husband, a room with 2 double beds. There was no privacy since the shower and bath area were open with no door. The toilet had a door, but there was no way to take a shower and step out to be able to put clothes on! No ice machine on any of the floors, we had to call desk for someone to bring it to our room. Most of the staff was friendly, but disappointed in the hotel.

« I was very disappointed in the level of service I received. »

To start, these issues spread over the two times I stayed at this hotel over a week and a half time frame. The first time, the hotel could not be reached by phone or email. I called to confirm my reservation with the general number and asked the woman what I was supposed to do as the hotel shuttle is a on demand service. She stated that I can take Uber or a taxi. Even though the airport shuttle is a service provided by the hotel that I am paying for to be included in my stay. I had to wait over an hour to get an Uber because of New York LaGuardia traffic and the way those vehicles came into the airport area. When I finally got to the hotel, I had to have my confirmation email so they could write down my information and my card numbers on a loose piece of paper to put into the system whenever it came back online. I am very disappointed that my credit card and personal information were written down on a loose piece of paper and could have potentially ended up anywhere. The transactions never went through until almost two weeks after the stay. The issue was not fixed the second time I was there later that week. I called and made the reservation with the general reservation line once again. I called the hotel and was able to get through this time. The woman stated that I needed the confirmation email to confirm my reservation as the system still was not working. I told her I didn’t receive one for some reason and she stated she couldn’t take my reservation if I didn’t have the email even though I had the confirmation number. Instead of calling the reservation line herself, the woman at the front desk of the hotel made me call on her behalf with her standing right in front of me and get the information myself. The woman on the reservation line seemed very confused as to what was happening. The woman at the front desk finally put my information into the computer and didn’t speak to me again. She directed a man who she did not introduce me to to escort me up to my room. I was confused and asked her if my information was input correctly and she finally spoke to me and told me that it was fine. She never told me my room number, never said what she was doing with my card information or anything. She did not apologize for any convenience I was caused during this whole ordeal. Not wanting to cause any disruptions, I followed the gentleman to my room, not understanding if it was a new system that the hotel was doing to escort people to their rooms or not. When he opened the door for me, he quickly turned to leave. I stopped him to ask where my room key was and he didn’t know what to say. I asked how I was supposed to leave my room if I didn’t have a room key and he told me to ask the front desk when I want back in to my room when I leave. I finally decided later to go down to the bar area and grab some food as I had not eaten that day. I went down, ordered a soda and some food. The bartender waits until I have waited 30 minutes for my food and have my food sitting in front of me to give me my bill and state that he can only accept cash. I was floored. I was incredibly lucky to be carrying cash with me that day otherwise he would have taken my food back as I wouldn’t have been able to take it. He never told me beforehand and was annoyed when I expressed concern as I didn’t think I had cash to begin with. Overall, I was very disappointed in the horrible customer service I was given during these two stays. I usually am very understanding with things happening as I work in the customer service industry as a flight attendant, as well. But this was not acceptable the way the staff treated me on both occasions and I will not be staying at this hotel again if I can help it. The amount of money people spend to stay at the hotel does not match up with the customer service the staff provides as I saw the staff being rude to other people staying there. Incredibly disappointing as I travel through LaGuardia airport every other week.

« Awful Accor Group hotel... sorry to be so rude »

- I am a GOLD ACCOR Hotel member, was not treated like one.... I was made to wait along other who I presume do not carry any privileges of membership as I did check with if they have ACCOR membership.. - No Welcome drink coupon was given as I was entitled for one being a GOLD MEMBER.... I educated the receptionist that the gold member are to be given with a welcome drink coupon, upon which she gave me one..... How embarrassing to ask for a free drink !!!1

« Great room but completely disorganized service. »

My room key stopped working after it initially gave me entry to my room. I returned to the front desk 3 times to have it fixed. Finally it was discovered that the desk person was coding it for the wrong room! The room was great. I loved the layout and it was super clean. I loved that it had a duvet with cover instaed of the usual disgusting/rarely washed bedspread that most hotels use. The bed was super comfy but "sleeps hot as do many memory foam mattresses. Definitely need better trained front desk. Also booking my room was a nightmare. It was under a group reservation and I was put back and forth between the main number (a ridiculous wait time) and the hotel itself. to find the group rate.

I reserved 2 nights online through Where I was charged $471.00 at the end of the day, I was under the assumption (according to the site, that I would pay at the hotel) I recieved a no show cancelation fee for 1 night according to Lisa the manager on duty ( who sent me a receipt) I explained to her my situation and all she could do was provide me a receipt. The money has not been refunded nor did I receive any extra information regarding this. Im frustrated and out practically $500. I need an explanation.

« Good value, clean, well appointed and lovely staff »

Our flight was cancelled and we booked last minute into the hotel. Feeling annoyed at the disruption, the hotel was a pleasant surprise and uplift. Staff were friendly, room was clean and comfortable, food selection was good and transfer to and from airport was good.

« Confortable room, poor service »

The check-in experience was so so. No special welcome for platinum members, and I had to ask for the (not so) welcome drink. During the stay, we had to experience difficult discussions with the front desk due since the safe of the room did not work. First they sent a technician who wasn't able to replace the battery (with a correct screwdriver, I would have done in 5 minutes). After a long discussion, we were told the engineer would come the next day. We pointed out that we would not be in the room, they informed us it was no problem. The next day, the safe was not fixed and the front desk explained us that it was our fault since we weren't there when the engineer came... After a long discussion, we changed of room. A couple of days later, we noticed that the battery of the safe was low. Since we didn't want to be stuck with a locked safe, we asked again the battery to be replaced. This was around 10:30 pm. The front desk sent another technician who wasn't able to change the battery either. Instead of telling us that he couldn't, he left without saying a word, leaving us to expect that he would come back with the appropriate screwdriver. Around 11:30 pm, we contacted the front desk, who informed us the technician had left for the night. We would have expected an apology but are still waiting... Finally, the safe was fixed the next day at 8 am, after another round of négociation with the front desk. Throughout our stay, we never felt welcome in this hotel; the front desk seemed to constantly assume bad faith from us, which as a client (platinum in our case), is very annoying. Another example: once the room wasn't done properly (bed not arranged), so we complained to the front desk, who told us we must have left the "do not disturb sign" (which we hadn't), and didn't apologize at all. This being said, the room was very spacious and comfortable, and the shuttle service reliable and well organized. The breakfast not being complimentary anymore, we would have liked to have proper cups and not plastic/paper ones.

« Great for the price »

I needed a room close to La Guardia and close to the airport Marriott that was hosting a conference I was attending. Given the date (US Open time!), hotel prices were exorbitant everywhere. Everywhere except the Ibis! The room was spare but comfortable. Service was friendly and accommodating. I'd def stay here again.

The room was clean and I appreciated the eco friendly shampoo/body was dispensers. I did not appreciate appreciate paying $3 for the shuttle, particularly as it was never confirmed upon pickup.

« worst checkin experience ever »

After a long flt we arrived at the hotel around 1 am with my wife and two kids. We booked through accor app and all bookings correct. However checkin desk could not find our reservation. I called accor helpdesk and had someone confirm the booking however he asked me to wait for half hour as he doesnt have authorization to send an email to front desk to guarantee for me a room. He asked me to wait for half hour at 1 am so he can get back to the hotel and myself. I never heard back from him. Luckily lady at checkin had another noshow and had one last room available which she granted us for same price so we could take a room after 1 hour. You need to make sure reservations are confirmed and registered in the checkin system at front desk. Never had such experience when my booking could not be found. Especially after 11 hours flight with two young kids this was the most terrible experience.

« Very disappointing »

Did not manage to get my statement. Have been overcharged compared to my booking confirmation receipt. No idea why. The hotel would not tell me nor return my calls or emails.
