My recent visit and stay for 3 nights at the Pullmans on the Park in Melbourne was nothing short of enjoyable. Staff and amenities extremely good. Value for money! Dinner was excellent. Worthwhile a visit and stay!

Enjoyable experience. It was good to spend two nights for a change. The $1 breakfast was very good and helped keep the costs down. I wasn’t enamoured of the follow-up email wanting to charge me for confectionery missing from the minibar, which I definitely didn’t have. Left a bit of a sour taste so to speak.

staff were helpful. the hotel is a bit tired - shower head small and directionless. room hot and aircon wouldn't adjust. its close to the MCG which is its best point. but thought there could be some improvement to overall amenities. roadworks annoying.

« NOT HAPPY!!!!! Paid for a high floor room and was only half way up and had cold showers every day. »

On check in we were greeted with the news that we had been upgraded to a suite. This suite was on the 10th floor of a 20 floor building. I paid for a HIGH floor. We were told that there were no rooms available on a high floor. We did not need a suite. Also when we entered the room I had to go to the toilet. On lifting the lid there was a trace of faeces on the outer bowl. I cleaned it off with wet toilet paper. This was reported to the desk who acooring to the cleaner forwarded on the she was to make sure the room was properly cleaned in future. On every morning of the 3 mornings we were there either my wife or I had a COLD shower while the other had a luke warm shower. We made the staff aware each day. They sent an engineer to investigate. He could not find a problem. Possibly because the hotel is fully booked was one response. Apart from that the staff were as helpful as they could be.

The view from our room spectacular. Had a delicious dinner in Cliveden restaurant to celebrate a special birthday. Enjoyed relaxing in lobby bar & was a great place to just walk over to a function at MCG.

I was disappointed in the decor, obviously an old room and peeking paint in the bathroom. Lay out of bathroom not great. I left my mobile phone charger behind and it has disappeared. Staff were friendly but not enough of them.

Overall the stay was very pleasant. we booked here so we could easily attend the football at the MCG across the road. Service at the front desk was excellent. Room was clean and suitable for our needs. Breakfast was great, dinner (carvery buffet) was average - given the price p.p.

Got upgraded to higher level with MCG views - Thankyou. But the room (1412) was old and dated, the shower was not very powerfull it had blocked waterholes in shower rose. Staff friendly helpful everywhere from front desk, restaurant and bar. But suggest thst maybe need more bar staff. Breaky was delicious, great coffee.

The lobby was very nice. The receptionist was very helpful. But that ends there. When I hop out of the lift unto level 20, where my room was located, I immediately feel underwhelmed. The design was very old. When I got into my room, I'm even more surprised on the bathroom. It's not what I expected Pullman to be. I'm expecting a super nice bathroom with a nice bathtub, yet, I am served with a very standard bathroom and a small bathtub. At the evening, I also had dinner at the restaurant downstairs. The waiter lady was very nice, yet, she was alone on serving more than 6 tables. So, when we want to order, we had to wait for a bit. The food was average for a hotel meal. Especially when the meal cost more than $30. In the morning, I was surprised even more. By 9 AM, someone knocked on my room. It was room service and asking if I want to have the minibar refilled. This is the first time ever someone actually knocked our door in a "pretty early" morning and asking if I want the minibar to be refilled. I don't expect this and I don't like the idea at all.

For an executive room I would have expected better, the bed sagged in the middle, the bathroom for executive was small and a shower as it is set up was not satisfactory, a combination fixed hand held was very disappointing and in a bath not a proper shower. No fan in the bathroom. I am sorry but I have stayed in a lot cheaper hotels with better facilities. Was disappointed

The rooms were clean and the front desk was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we stayed on a VERY noise floor with guests running up and down the corridor from 11pm-1pm drunk and loud. Our sleep was very disrupted. The Valet service was great.

« Actually did not live up to my previous experience staying and conferencing at this hotel »

I am a conference organiser and have held other events at this hotel. We found a number of things that we felt were not up to standard. Conference rooms - chairs are outdated and squeak when people move on them. freezing rooms Stradbroke even after adjustment. After asking, felt like temp changed in foyer but not room. Food in restaurant - We had our lunches in the restaurant - buffet for our conference delegates was pretty unimaginative, similar or same on two days. chicken skewers from the night before, not even made into another chicken dish Staff - the floor staff were great and always helpful Accommodation experience - woken by drilling at 6.10am on Tuesday - last year, we had to put up with extreme noise due to renovations so it was a feeling 'oh no, not again' Standard of rooms - I know this seems elitist, but usually as conference organisers spending in excess of $50k in the hotel, sales execs usually look after my colleague and I with nice rooms and often a card or fruit platter or wine with a welcome message. We felt like we were put in the oldest rooms available. - Poor room servicing - food left in room and in hallway, Minibar items not replaced including milk and tea Sales experience. We paid a second deposit invoice as per included with contract that had the the wrong bank account - we had not been advised of the change of ownership. this was rectified but our accounts manager spent many hours trying to get back the $16,000 that went to the wrong account.
