i was impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms, quality of the room/fit out (was located on level 4) staff were lovely and helpful and the $1 breakfast was hard to pass up.

first time stay with you and i will be back handy location great breakfast the only thing disappointing was your parking facilities i realise panthers is busy but trying to park near the motel on saturday night was impossible i had to park next to Kentucky and i felt unsafe walking to and from the motel also the safety of my vehicle. i woke during the night and went to my car to park it closer under lights maybe an area that u need to use your room key to gain access to designated motel parking

1. Understaffed 2. Power outage that was local to room (or certain rooms) that was not detectable by staff. I should not have to call Reception to have a power outage resolved that is not a hotel-wide outage. The latter I can accept as a supplier/grid issue but to require a Receptionist to come and "reset" the power to my room is what I might expect at a Caravan Park, not at a Mercure property where I am paying $200 for a night. The power (except lighting) was off for 2 hours before I realised that nothing was going to happen without me having to report it. I rang Reception and House Keeping 3 times (at least 12 rings per call) without any response. After taking a shower and trying again I finally got Reception and explained the issue as well as the fact I had called 3 times each and was informed House-Keeping finished at 3.30 PM and that Reception was very busy. OK so who am I supposed to call?? Ridiculous. 3. Breakfast - I took advantage of the $1 add-on breakfast at booking. Check out was at 11:00AM so I went to Breakfast at 10:15 only to be told the included Breakfast was finished but I was welcome to order and pay for Brunch. At no point was I told that Brekfast finsihed at 10:00AM - why is checkout at 11:00AM if Breakfast finsihes at 10:00AM? Think about it. I have never been in any hotel in the world with that model.

The male that checked us in was less than helpful and rude. I returned later to ask about breakfast and how we get to the dining room, as the male earlier failed to give us that information. The young lady couldn’t be more helpful.

« Assuming this is for my stay on Thursday the 5th as i also returned on the 7th till the 9th »

Check in was seamless and staff were absolutely lovely and extremely helpful unfortunately the room i stayed in was a little tired and a bit dirty. the bathroom in particular was pretty disappointing and dirty but in saying that that i did return on the saturday and the room i stayed in was beautiful so maybe it was just a one off kinda thing

My only issue was that the bar fridge didn't have a freezer. So I could not freeze ice bricks for the next part of my journey. Otherwise the room was clean and quiet. The restaurant at Panthers is very conveniently close and very easy to find.

Overall I enjoyed my stay. During my stay on two evenings I had very strong smell of cigarette smoke in my room event though I was on level 5 which is a non smoking room. This may have been caused as my room was adjacent to an outdoor area and on occasions I observed people smoking there.

We stayed in a family room where the main bed was separated from the two singles which were great, plenty of space and modern clean bathrooms. Was perfect for our one night stay and not to feel crammed in together. Love the access straight into the club next door.

Everything was good/great except that we booked a queen room and were given a room with a double and a single. This would be fine but my boyfriend and I are relatively tall and our feet hang off the end of double beds. It wasn’t worth calling down to reception to change rooms as our stay was only one night but it was a bit annoying.
