« Fabulous stay »

The location across from the DLR and Jubilee line station is wonderful for staying in London and it is only a few stops of London City Airport. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and extremely quiet so a good nights sleep was easy to get. I would definitely return and stay for my next trip to London.

« Short but excellent stay »

We stayed in Ibis London Canning Town two nights. Its location is fantastic, underground 100 m from hotel (across street), you can reach majority of points of interest by Jubilee line: London Bridge, London Eye (Waterloo Station), Westminster, Buckingham palace (Green Park Station). Rooms were clean, simply furnished, modern. Breakfast great (including full English breakfast). Easy check-in and check-out.

The staff was very nice and extremely helpful. Especially Andrea and Daniella.The position of the hotel is excellent, beeing right opposite the underground.The room is very nice, but totally imprectical. Seriously missing a fridge, drawers and shelves.

Loved my room with the fantastic view of the City. Loved the location directly opposite Canning Town station. Was delighted to see Tahir, who was always in charge of breakfasts over at the Ibis Euston. He always makes breakfast lovely.

Booking online was an easy logical experience. Emails received prior to my stay contained useful information and were most welcome. Online check was not good - I will expand on this further. Check in was quick and simple on arrival and we were welcomed early as I had requested an early check in because we had a wedding to attend that afternoon. The room was good, clean and modern, a very pleasant place to stay. The bar/restaurant was a nice place, but the food on offer was extremely limited. Breakfast was good. Check out was totally hassle free.

« Great one night stay in Canning Town »

Excellent stay at Ibis Hotel Canning Town. Very friendly staff, especially at check-in (Daniella - I think) and checked in early. Fantastic rooms and new hotel. Breakfast was great value. Stayed in a variety of Travelodge and Ibis hotels and this was definitely the best hotel yet. Quiet but excellent location, right across from the tube and bus station. Excellent price too.

Enjoyed the experience, we arrived late but check-in was easy. I left my jumper at breakfast but the staff kept it for me at lost and found and I managed to retrieve it afterwards, for which I’m grateful. Bed was comfortable, appreciate the aircon which was necessary in the heat.

This is my first experience of staying at an Ibis Hotel although I have stayed at other Accor Hotels. I was very impressed with both the hotel and the staff who were extremely welcoming and very helpful. I was particularly impressed with the very efficient use of technology. The breakfast was impressive although I would have liked bananas and, for example, stewed prunes to be on the menu. However, the evening meal was appalling and let down the whole enterprise. I ordered Chicken Tikka with Naan Bread. I had to return it the first time because the bread was burnt. The second time there was no salad and I do not think the Chicken had met the Tikka. It was bland and unpleasant but I did not return it a second time. I was given a complimentary drink which was a nice touch but actually not that welcome. My other complaint would be the inevitable 'background music' which I hate. The use of it does not take account of hearing disabilities. I would definitely use Ibis again and would recommend it to others.

« Good location but average service »

We stayed for 9 nights, the house keeper Ms. Sandica from 9th floor did a very good job. There is a bus terminal and tube station opposite the hotel, just cross the road. Free wifi in room and common area, good breakfast and bed is very comfort. But the room is small, only one chair is provided and no racks for suitcases in the room. The most disappointment were all our requests in the booking were not met, like we asked for higher floor but was assigned to 1st floor, finally we got a room in 9th floor but was with a wet bathroom, so we mop the bathroom’s floor after every shower during these 10 days; we requested for early check in but was charged £10 for it, we had over 12 hours long flight, arrived the hotel at around 11am and only able to get to our room half an hour later. The hotel and the staff were not flexible.

This hotel is in a great location. Right across the street from a subway station that is on the main line. Easy to get to/from Heathrow and Gatwick. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Only downside was that the room didn’t have a fridge but being a hotel, understandable.

Design and cleanliness of hotel is excellent. Only minor quibble was a short wait (three or four minutes) for someone to verify that I had already checked in online.
