Felt very welcomed right from the start. Food was absolutely fantastic. You could tell that the staff genuinely put in effort. Me and my family may have to be back in Melbourne in a fortnights time and will very likely stay here again

Acceptable hotel for purposes of trip. Expensive for overall experience. Things I would have liked improved: 1. Quiet room. a. Told my room would be quiet; however it was adjacent to the lifts and therefore noisy at times. b. Not significantly sound proofed. 2. Open floor plan. I did not like the open floor plan of the room. a. No significant door between bathroom and living space. While this was not a significant issue on this trip, I would not want a room of this configuration if staying with other people. 3. Limited TV reception. Unable to watch desired programming on the television. 4. Cost of room/services. Things that were acceptable: 1. Check in and check out process. 2. Hotel bar. 3. Incentive for minimising waste (not having room made and towels refreshed, etc).

Great service! room was luxurious, Customer service was excellent (checked in by the nicest girl!) and amentites were great. my only two gripes are i requested a "Breakfast Box" in room and this never turned up on both mornings - and there should be a Nespresso machine in the rooms, not instant. this is my 2nd time staying here and i love it! (i stayed at the ibis in the same building once, never again..)

For years we were running Public 3-day PCM seminars at the NOVOTEL St.Kilda. Unfortunately ACCOR decided to use that property for appartments, hence we were offered to run our seminars at the new NOVOTEL CENTRAL in Melbourne instead. Both the upgrade in accommodation and the venue service were great! Thanks for your support!

Stayed in Melbourne for the big car show. The hotel was well situated in Lt Lonsdale St and close to the CBD, transport and especially the restaurants. The room was high quality and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I particularly noted how quiet the room was considering the location and the amount of building works occurring nearby. Housekeeping was a bit slow in maintaining the room.

Excellent hotel and experience. A few points that made it less than amazing are; - that the toilet is in the same room as bedroom, only a dividing door, you could hear and smell the toilet and the person in there. Not pleasant at all. The photos of the bathroom that we're advertised on the website do not accurately show that the toilet isn't in its own separate room, like most toilets are. This could be a factor in not returning to this hotel in the future. - temperature system was hard to control. The room was hot then cold and was hard to find a balance. If the room did get stuffy and warm, there was no fan to provide a nice breeze/airway. - ordered drinks to the room which took a long time to arrive. After 25 min I called the guest service desk asking when the drinks would be arriving and to cancel the order if they hadn't been made yet. Guest person said they'd call me back as they were going to ask the barman about our drinks. I didn't receive a callback after 5 min so I called the guest service desk again and got put on hold. It wasn't a pleasant experience waiting that long for 2 drinks and the service over the phone was not good. The lady came across as uninterested and unwilling to help. We had a great stay at the hotel and these problems are only minor but I hope you can address them because apart from these problems it was a 10/10 stay. Thanks, Sean

Rooms are good especially the delux king room I had on the high floor which can oversee the broad city view day and night. The staff are very polite with happy smile on their face all the time. I had afternoon tea at the bar and a dinner at the restaurant, good food and service at both places.

I have stayed at this hotel before, so booking again for this trip was an easy decision. This Novotel is situated in Little Lonsdale Street, just above Hardware Lane and Melbourne Central, which is convenient.the Our room was on the 30th floor, although it was quiet, the room was very small with two double beds. Chaise Lounge was placed directly under the window, which made it difficult to access the window for the view. The bathroom was a nice size, but the entrance area from the front door seemed to be a waste of space. A full length mirror in this area might have been handy, as the only mirror in the room was in the bathroom, with two ladies sharing this space, this was probably not a good thing. The beds were comfortable and the fresh bottle of water supplied daily was a good thing. The two large freckle complimentary chocolates supplied seemed a little out of place, as it is not something either my daughter or myself would eat. Tea and coffee was supplied, although the tea used was not replenished when the room was serviced and needed a visit to reception to have some delivered.

I had rung 20 different motels looking for one with wheelchair accessibility and could sleep myself and 3 children. At 7.30 i finally found Walter on the other end of the phone. He said he would do what ever he could to help me make this trip work. I am a carer of children with disabilities. I built a wheelchair accessible home and bought a wheelchair accessible car so I could offer respite to families. I wanted a holiday, I needed a holiday, I wanted to see Charlie and the Chocolate factory. So I asked 2 families if I could borrow their children so we could come to Melbourne and have some fun. Walter and his team organised Shirts, chocolates, and a treasure hunt at the motel for the kids. They gave us a snack bag at Charlie and the Chocolate factory. I can not thank, Walter, Emma, Dan, and Andy enough. We had an awesome time, The room was amazing, it was so big and it catered for all of us. I know I will be telling everyone how superb your place is in Melbourne. And if I get the erge for another holiday I will be using your chain again.

Great central location. Close to Melbourne Central and Emporium. Close to lots of restaurants. Free tram around the city centre. Shower was large. Twin room was very small. Closet was too small for hanging up of clothes - only half size. No drawer space for clothes. No writing desk. No mirror or rubbish bin in the room, only in the bathroom. Not enough towel rail space and no where to hang up face washers. Bench in bathroom was too narrow and small.
