« Everything was great! »

The hotel is situated almost perfectly for evey occasion, in between the university and city centre. The parking is reasonably priced (£10 per night) especially considering the limited parking Exeter has. The staff were really friendly, and couldn't fault them. My room was really nice as it had space to move around comfortably, the only gripe I had was the fact the bed is a bit too firm for my preference. But that's all subject to opinion. Food options was really nice, I would recommend getting the breakfast and dinner options, as I find them great value for money.

Food was absolutely terrible for the evening meal and breakfast. I’ve tasted better and hotter in McDonald’s. The bed was uncomfortable and the room had a water running noise all night. However the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming top stars for her but everything else is a negative.

I left a jacket in the room. I emailed to say I had left the jacket and that I would pay for it to be returned to me. I received an email a week later saying you will look into this and I am still waiting for a response.

A bit of a calamity really, although have to say the staff were brilliant . Firstly room wasn’t ready, then when it finally was we went up to find it was still being cleaned. Put in another room and then there was a disco underneath or room until late. Room we upgraded to was Privelige but we didn’t get any drinks supplied in the fridge that was part of the package for the 2 nights we stayed. We were refunded the parking costs of £20 because of the noise on first night and £10 for the lack of drinks.

This was just a three night weekend stay to have a look at Exeter, and the hotel is ideally placed, being opposite the Central Station and close to the museum and cathedral, not far from the Quayside. Included breakfast was good, and it was nice to be offered pancakes on Shrove Tuesday. Only a few drawbacks: 1) service in the restaurant the first night was very poor; 2) the radiator in the bedroom was difficult to control - too hot when I arrived; 3) I ordered a newspaper for Monday and Tuesday, specifically said I didn't want one on Sunday, but it was delivered all the same. Nevertheless, good value for money, and I would gladly stay there again.

Lovely big room with comfy bed, light lunch in bar was very nice, found hotel fairly quiet although some noise people going up down stairs on occasions but overall very nice stay again.

« Ok. Nice staff. Uncomfortable bed and synthetic pillows and the door to the corridor had a gap and the floor creaked a lot when anyone walked past. »

Friendly, professional staff- helpful and informative. The only let down was the uncomfortable bed, gap under the door to the corridor and creaky floor which scrunched every time someone passed my floor - Room 127. So good staff - but uncomfortable bed....

« Fantastic as always except one thing. »

The staff were very friendly and welcoming as they always are. Travelling up by train we were delighted that instead of leaving our luggage with you for a few hours we were allowed early access to our room as it was all ready prepared. Very welcomed by travelling guests! The room was beautifully laid out and furnished. My only gripe is that the cleanliness of the bathroom floor was insufficient. There was dirt and hair on the floor by the bin area and dust and hair behind the door when closed. I had face wipes with me so cleaned it myself. We had a great nights sleep and breakfast buffet was absolutely lovely as it always is. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
