« No more Mercure »

Location a REAL issue. No parking or rear access to just drop luggage off before parking car far enough away to almost be in Europe. Poor access for those with access issues in a new town. No help from desk when seeking directions to car park by telephone. No acknowledgement that the primary access street was closed for road works and had been so for a few weeks! No alternative instructions. No help. Hotel old and run down. Very disappointed. Worst Mercure experience in UK.

I am slightly confused about your comments as we have parking at the rear of the along with a back entrance on Diamond Street, additional parking is also available just around the corner from the hotel in Golden Square. In regards to road closures, there are no roads around the hotel. The room was fine, if a little cramped for the price, but the main issue was a lack of/expense of amenities. There was also an issue of literally every time I left the lift, trash was left on the windowsills. Sometimes the same bottles/glasses were there for hours at a time.

« Very tired room »

We love coming to the Mercure and have stayed numerous time and is fantastically positioned and a 4 star yet the room we were in at the weekend was extremely tired, very small and just a double bed which nowadays in most hotels all have king size available. Just net curtains below main curtains, so light came shining in at some awful time, blackout blinds below them would have been excellent. Just horrible white linen exposing the marked/stained mattress platform and pillows very hard. Marks on the woodwork and one bin that is sooo tiny you only get two things in it. Was not overly impressed this time unfortunately

I have stayed here on many occasions, its very central. It has a nice little bar and restaurant with some great bars on your door step. Train and bus station 10 minutes walk away.

I was staying in an.upgraded room.due to cleaning uses in the room I stayed in last week. This is classed as a deluxe room and was much bigger, has a stand alone shower and offers a clean bathrobe. There is room for improvement but in general the staff are friendly and willing to.help. Room service is expensive but the hotel is in the middle of Aberdeen with lots of bars etc

Was comfortable, and rooms were clean. Only drawback was that lighting from table lamp, floor lamp and dresser where coffee/tea facilities were didn’t work. Not a big problem on this occasion as it was brighter weather and lights not needed.
