The hotel is showing age. Every morning (starting at 6am), the air conditioning would have this "beeping" noise and it would go on for 30+ minutes like an annoying alarm clock. I called the front desk and it took some time for the technician to come fix it. But by that time, I was fully awake and did not have time to go back to sleep prior to work. I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and not 1 night did I have a good night rest. This needs to be fixed!

Thank you so much for a lovely stay again Sofitel! Great rooms, big comfy beds, nice tubs, good breakfast! The toiletries are high quality and there’s a proper coffee machine. The staff are really very friendly and can’t do enough for you - nothing is too much trouble! My only bit of criticism would be this - could you please try to put single business travelers away from the families? I’ve had a family screaming and shouting across the hall from me at 12am and I had to be up at 6. Everyone has a different schedule and obviously nothing hotel can do about it but would be nice to have a quieter room next time. Again no reflection on staff etc! Overall another great stay and looking forward to my next one!

The hotel is only 2 years old and very grand. We stayed in a junior suite. Lounge access was very nice and comfortable. Housekeeping was a bit disappointing. When I went to use the bathtub, I noticed grime on the inside of the tub and also some sticky liquid that I had spilt on the table wasn’t cleaned up. I expected a bit more from a 5 star hotel on such basics, and especially in a suite.

« Room key might fail at any day. Hotel reserved taxi is unreliable »

My room key doesn't work since the 3rd day of my stay. My colleages, one of them had his key failing since the 2nd day, one of them had the room lock totally malfunctioning (dead battery for the security system?) that he had to change the room. In my previous stay in this hotel I had the same problem with key too. Worst thing is that back then you need card key to access the fitness center. My replacement key works for my room but not for the gym... I reserved early Morning taxi to KLIA. It appears the taxi never arrived and the hotel staff booked a GRAB instead. Took an extra 15 min. I paid double for the hotel taxi reservation and could have done the GRAB myself..

- Room: Good room, but difficult to adjust the room temperature. The housekeeping was not up to the quality of other sofitel hotels (some amenity missing, defect in room number plate, drinking water was not refilled, some TV channels are not showing correctly) - Breakfast: Good service, but less variety (especially cold cuts and fruits)

Really excellent room and service. The club facility was outstanding quality and valued addition to our package. The restaurant left a bit to be desired. The many chefs were almost theatrical and managed to complicate the food to little benefit in an almost cafeteria atmosphere. For example, table cloths would be nice. The minestroni soup was no better than you can get out of a can and the scallops were suspiciously thick which my wife did not eat. My main fish course was bland on an overpowering sauce base. my wifes cray dish was delicious. The service was very good. The adjacent external bar area was a much better atmosphere (design). On checking out, the bill was incorrectly calculated.

I like to stay in this hotel, the room is spaces, clean and staffs are friendly. The only comment i want to share is for the management to consider putting a sign in the toilet sliding door as I banged my left thumb while i was pulling one side of the sliding door not knowing the other side came it's way at the same time and caused figure injury on my first night.

I did have high expectations when I chose this hotel due to its name but everything was up to par. Sofitel really set their standards and customer service was great. Although it took 40 minutes for a set of cutleries to arrive my room, it didn't ruin the fact I had a splendid weekend there. Will definitely choose Sofitel for my next stay, and I will recommend it to my peers for sure.

« Organising an Event at Sofitel Damansara »

It was my first time staying and organizing an event at the hotel. In general, the hardware was OK but there are areas needs to be improved such as the details within the room & the core construction such as the air circulation & touches to be the real 5 stars. Services are generally OK not the very best when it comes to organizing this international event. Sales are OK with the respond and promptness to serve the changes and inquiry. Banquet are good with food quality and the services in overall. Front Desk is a litte hard to work with but thankfully i have had the Duty Manager who is the only one i could reply on, he is the only person i will go to when there was any issue or request to hanlde such changes. I wish I could remember the name, he is Malaysian and tall.
