Booked this hotel for a 4 nights stay in Kuala Lumpur. Wanted to avoid the main city area which was always crowded and this hotel location served this purpose. The entry was grand with porters and doormen greeting us the moment we stepped out of the grab car. Impressive indeed. Check-in was fast and efficient and we proceeded to check out our room with lots of excitement. This was not the first time that we had used the Sofitel chain of hotels and the lobbies, corridors and hospitality standard were similar to the ones located in other countries. Room was big with a walk-in closet, a huge bathtub, a separate shower and toilet area. There was a nespresso machine in-room to ensure that we would have our coffee fix. Bed was a king size one and the mattress was extremely comfortable. I seriously had nothing to complain about the room and spent the next four nights enjoying facilities in the hotel like the gym and the pool. They even had a sauna and steam room at level three, inside the washroom outside the gym. Every where I went in the hotel, I was always greeted by the friendly staff. Gym was well equipped for a proper workout. Pool was great with a jacuzzi as well. Tried two food and beverage outlets inside the hotel, which were the morning breakfast area and the lobby cafe called Le Bar. Again, the service standard was great and food tasty. Just that compared to other Sofitels, the breakfast quality and variety seem a bit lacking. All in all, a wonderful stay and this would be my go-to hotel in future in Kuala lumpur.

Great stay.. check in was easy, very friendly and welcoming staff. Room was fine, quite spacious, nice comfy bed and pillow. Spacious bathroom, great amenity. Ordered room service, a very yummy burger.. love it.. Gym was okay, just enough to train a bit here and there. Pool is maybe just to play around or hanging with some friends, cant really swim there. Location feels like in the middle of a kind of a new development area, nearby malls are still quite empty when i visit (april 2024) and the surrounding area was also very quite (but also maybe because it was Hari Raya Holiday). Anyway still very easy to get a grab.

Staff are friendly and responsive. Just that at check-in my confirmation was mixed up with my colleague which lengthen the process, something could have been avoided. Broken a/c in room is being taken care quite quickly All in all, all good :)

I recently stayed at Sofitel Damansara in Kuala Lumpur for the sixth time, hoping for a memorable birthday celebration with my girlfriend. The hotel's location continues to impress, conveniently near the newly opened Pavilion Damansara, and the breakfast offerings were excellent as always. However, this visit left me disappointed. Despite being a return guest and booking under the AccorPlus benefit, my requests for a dinner buffet and a birthday cake went unconfirmed and unfulfilled. I had informed the hotel about these special arrangements in advance, but there was no follow-up from the staff during my stay. Although I usually look forward to my time here, the lack of attention to guest requests and the missing personal touch made this experience less than satisfactory. It felt like the value for money and the quality of hospitality had diminished, overshadowing the otherwise fantastic aspects of this hotel. i guess i won't consider with this hotel anymore if i have choice.
