Big disappointment with Accor benefits

For Diamond Accor members (maybe also for Platinum), because this Pullman didn't provide a lounge, it offered a benefit of free non-alcoholic drinks through the day and alcoholic drinks through its happy hour between 05.00 PM and 07.00 PM. This replaced most of the lounge benefit which is given at other Pullman hotels and offered even further flexibility as you could receive drinks from several outlets. We had previous memorable experiences that's why we kept coming (3 times in last 6 months). Especially, that the Guest Relations Manager is an extremely friendly, kind and nice person, very welcoming and we loved to see her and talk to her. I even considered the hotel to be my favorite in all Accor hotels worldwide. However, unluckily, in December, the general manager and maybe also some senior management changed, and it was decided that they need to wipe out this major benefit and go cheap with the hotel and offerings. The benefit is degenerated to ONLY one drink from a smaller selection of the cheaper drink category during their happy hour (equivalent to 4 usd of spending max. if you consider that it is during the time of 1+1) The minibar which was also free for Diamond members, went also more low cost with canned drinks and became 2 drinks non-accumulable per day. The worse, they came up with a worthless one time benefit, which is a 12 usd voucher per person for a massage worth 50 usd at least. I am just wondering how many Accor Diamond members come to the hotel, to decide to ruin their experience in such a way. Last year I spent around 30000 EUR after tax in Accor properties (almost enough for 3 Diamond members), in the sole purpose to enjoy couple of happy moments during my vacations. Unfortunately, the new senior management decided that we are not worth any special moments. If it was not for the Guest Relations Manager, who is the best which wemet in all Accor and knows how to turn complaints into compliments. She tried her best to save the day considering that we come often to the resort, otherwise I would have given a 1 star rating instead of 5. I think that I will never set a foot again in this resort, because I don't encourage this irrational cost cutting and low-cost behavior. This was extremely disappointing for a brand such as Pullman, which got an excellent culture of hospitality and which I consider as my favorite Accor brand. I am not happy with this low level treatment at all.

Everything is nice except for the Music

The hotel keeps playing on strong music during the day time using speakers (including the swimming pool, outdoor area, the bar, etc) and it can be heard clearly in all the rooms (including suites). This is quite annoying and it means you must keep all the windows shut at all times during the day time which defeats the purpose of going to a resort to enjoy the fresh air. it's not suitable for those who are looking for a quiet and peaceful

The fitness centre is clean and has a good mix of Life Fitness machines inducing: smith machine; lat pulldown / row; chest / shoulder press; leg extension / curl; dual cable; treadmills; elliptical cross trainer; recumbent bike; adjustable benches & rower. There’s also dumbbells up to 20kg, TRX, bosu balls and mats.

This trip to Phu Quoc was even more enjoyable because I stayed at the Pullman Hotel. It was a very enjoyable trip with clean accommodations and delicious breakfast. Above all, I was impressed by the friendliness and passion of the staff called DAT. I had to leave my cell phone at Grab and get off to find it... the driver. I couldn't contact them... I called the Grab company, spoke to the driver, and convinced him to come right away, saying that the driver was 45 minutes away and that he would come tomorrow... Nevertheless, DAT was happy with me and said I was glad I found him. Even if I tried to give it to you, you wouldn't accept it... I was wondering how I could express my gratitude, so I'm writing this. I'm so grateful to DAT for communicating with me in Vietnam, where I don't even speak English. I wanted to post a compliment to the hotel, but I couldn't find it, so I'm posting it here. Thank you to DAT, who found my new foldable cell phone as if it were his own business. The Pullman Hotel has such great staff! It's so cool. Thanks to DAT, I was able to find a phone with good memories. I would like to express my gratitude once again~♡♡♡
