We stayed for 2 nights as our first stop on a family holiday to Myanmar. We used lots of the facilities, BBQ restaurant, Kipling Bar, Pool Bar, Soa and they were all great.

Superb service at this hotel, nice swimming pool and garden, good location near some of the best temples in town. Staff were helpful with all the requests we had (transportation, tours...). I recommend strongly.

I enjoyed my stay and the service was good. The location was good and the lady providing tourist advice was great and gave us a good deal on the transport around. One comment, not a complaint, the service was so good it made us feel. A little uncomfortable as when we ate in the restaurant the stFf watch you eat and as soon as you take the last bit they pounce on the plate almost before you finish eating. That how good the service was. Really friendly staff too

This is my first visit to Mandalay or in fact Myanmar. Actually I have pre arranged my pick-up with the managers of Mercure Mandalay Hill and they have arranged it with any hitch. Before even I arrived in the Hotel, I have already started to love the Hotel because of the warm communication with the managers Ms. Yi Yi Win, Ms Yin Wai and Ms Myat Myat Tha. I didnt know Burmese are basically so warm and lovable. They never get tired and irritated even many questions and requests are placed onto them. We arrived at about 3 pm and was well received by Ms Yi Yi Win. We have such a good treatment that even Sofitel or Pullman or other 5 stars Hotels do not provide. The ladies received flowers and we were served with drinks and towels as refreshment. Obviously we were given pretty good rooms. Even though the Hotel is kind of old but it is so nostalgic and very clean too.We actually love it. Actually we were staying in Sofitel Sukhumvit's Prestige Suite just a night before, we have voted Mercure Mandalay Hill as a better Hotel especially Ms Yi Yi Win personally made sure that our rooms are at its best condition and that we will be comfortable. Thank you Ms Yi Yi Win. In Sofitel, we only have the Chief Butler.to handle us. The Housekeepers are fantastic and have good initiative. Imagine she can bother to redecorate the Swarm and flowers from the bed to the tail bench so that the mood is maintain. Breakfasts is commendable and we do enjoy the good food especially the noodle soup.They do have good Chinese restaurant which serve Peking Duck/ Very reasonable price for a duck It is cheaper than in Beijing itself.We also enjoyed the nice good massage and really value for money. The staff handling the massage center are very welcoming and friendly. Actually I celebrated my Wedding Anniversary and Birthday on this trip. It is really the best so far. as compare to the previous we did it in Japan, Manila and China. Thank you for all the snacks you have sent to our rooms and also the birthday cake. You are the rare Hotel who bother to turn down our bed every evening. Not to forget, you really have a very or in fact extremely nice staff handling the executive lounge. she always ready to serve and almost smile. To make it short, I personally vouch for this Hotel and promise the stay without regret. The three manager and their team have indirectly upgraded Mercure Mandalay Hill Resort to a 5 Stars Hotel .

first trip to Mandalay, and first time stayed here. upgraded to executive. very big room, nice view of Mandalay hill n golf course. hotel is ex Mandalay resort hotel, so a bit old. and 10-15min walk from the moat. enjoyed the executive lounge-free breakfast, afternoon tea and evening happy hour. maybe low season, so only 1-2 guests. gym was nice, are the back of the main restuarant. walked from hotel to Mandalay hill 45min 1way. buffet dinner was nice, n reasonable price only found 2 western hotel here (another being hilton). price of both similarly high. good stay though.

Definitely stay here if you value the best service and sprawling, spacious property with stunning local architechture. Stayed in a suite and corner room. The suites are over the top gorgeous. The corner room was spacious and modern. Property is spotlessly clean and I cannot say enough about the service. Everyone from the doormen who greet you, to the duty manager, front desk saff, restaurant staff and the spa staff genuinely welcome you and provide the best service in a way that says “I sincerely care about your wellbeing and your impression of my country and culture.” Close to Mandalay Hill and local tea shops if you want to get a taste of every day life and flavours. Stay here and you will be hapoy.

The hotel is very old and needs refurbishing. Even though we got a bigger room than average, the furniture is old. There are only two lifts (and very slow for a hotel of this big capacit) and there is much time wasted just to catch a lift. There was basically only one restaurant to eat (the other barbecue spot in the garden is more for group tours). Food was ok but nothing special. The facilities are clean, the service polite and helpful. I think that the Accor group has big work ahead to perfect the standard; maybe good enough fro Mercure?

I have upgraded to executive floor with complementary chocolate and fruit. The only issue is unstable electricity. The room suddenly turn dark and 30 seconds later the light come back. Apart from that, everything is fine.
