Clean & tidy room with enough towels for us all. Only thing missing was a hairdryer as this something people don't generally have in a overnight bag. Breakfast was fine with a variety of different things to eat.

Wrong room given. We got a small tripple room, when we had asked for a double. Room stank of body odour. Dirty room, other guests belongings under bed. stained threadbare bedding and towels, dirty shower, floor, lights kept tripping every few minutes, also internet. Fire alarm went off at 1.15am, waking the whole hotel up.

« Good but some short comings this stay »

Third stay here and usually ideal for an overnight on the way to SW France. Shower door was missing and replaced by awful shower curtain which had seen better days. Hinges for missing door remained and were definite health and safety issue. Duvet covers at end of life! Otherwise fine.

Small room but adequate for one night. Rear of hotel was particularly quiet. Receptionist on arrival was unsmiling and brusque......but all he had to do was hand over the key card. Didn't ask if we wanted breakfast.......which we didn't. Teriffic restaurant next door.

Very good hotel. Receptionist was pleasent when I arrived. I was given room 110 on the ground floor a light airy room with a ferandah outside the French window. The room had a wet room which, although I didn't ask for, I was delighted because I have mobility problems. Hotel is right on the A20 auto route and possibly a little noisey for some.

« Not up to Ibis’ usual standard »

I booked this because my usual stop, Ibis Budget at Deols, was full. The hotel was in a strange out-of-the way location. The building looked tired. The reception was OK and staff as nice as usual. The room was cramped and bleak. Someone else had been given the same room key late at night and tried to get into my room. Luckily I’d locked the door. I won’t stay there again.

The room was very clean, the service at the frontdesk very polite and to-the-point, breakfast was what you could expect from it at the price I paid. However, in the night round 4 am, I was woken up by noise that seemed to come from the reception area. I heard a radio or a television playing. On second thoughts, the noise might also have come from a neighbouring room; I can't tell. What is sure, however, is that round 5.30 am I was woken up again by the smell of baking croissants and couques au chocolat entering the room.

« Unfortunately, overall not our best hotel experience »

We booked on the day and that was all fine. We struggled to find the hotel and had to ask. Signage to the hotel was poor. Staff were polite and helpful on arrival - room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was satisfactory - albeit ran out of croissants. Sadly, on departure, I slipped down the frozen steps outside the hotel and badly bruised my back, cut my wrist and elbows. The steps were steep and had collected rain water from the previous night that had frozen. The duty manager was able to supply plasters for my bleeding wrist. No one took an Accident Report which I though unusual. I strongly suggest that you conduct a Health and Safety assessment on the hotel steps. Salt was applied to the steps as we left.
