« Without a shadow of a doubt, the best hotel experience I have ever had. »

It is apparent that it does not matter if you're dripping in Louis Vuitton luggage or look like a biker, you are treated with the utmost of respect and the service is impeccable. My favourite part of the experience is that there is never a brief moment of awkwardness while the bellhop or room service crew or valet are standing waiting for a gratuity or for you to sign anything. It is all included and that is explained immediately. I loved that! Advice, have a traditional cheese fondue at the Waldhaus... OMG. Wear a stretchy waistband. And the walk up the hill afterwards helped with digestion;)

The hotel is beautiful, very friendly staff, we had a great stay. Perhaps the best over all dinning experience on our trip through the Rockies. The only negative to the stay is our hotel room was very nice, but the room had much of a view of the mountains.

The property is incredible. Our experience would have been a 10plus except our room(#284) was stuck in a corner with a bathroom door in which I had to duck or stoop to enter into and we had a view of a roof and building only. This room should not be used or if used it should be a reduced rate. We tried several times to move, but with no luck. Your staff was efficient, friendly, and supportive. We will return, but hopefully in the future this room should be limited. We did not arrive until very late on our arrival date and this appeared to impact our room that we were assigned.

The staff were awesome as always - we missed Ross in Samurai, and are very sad to hear the restaurant is closing, loved seeing Jody in Castello’s, and the new bartender in the Vermillion room where my wife and I had a night cap. The staff was extra awesome in the decoration of the room when we arrived and the next day too! Plus at every restaurant and along the way - that is the reason that the hotel is our favorite anywhere and we keep coming back time and time again.

Room Not Acceptable - Fairmont Banff Springs #593 I wanted to let you know that the room we were given had a washroom that was much too small to be acceptable, on the Gold Level floor nonetheless. There was barely enough space for the door to open and that meant that circus contortions were required to then close the door and similar in the reverse to get out and getting to the sink without trying to close the door was almost impossible. There was not even room for a garbage can though one was put in anyway just causing the lack of space to be worse. We didn’t switch after checking into the room due to our late arrival and the disruption to our holiday it would have caused and then suspect the hotel would have just put some other poor travelers into that room anyway. I love the hotel and always expect Fairmont to be a fantastic experience so the fact that this room is marketed as acceptable is a significant impediment to returning to the hotel and I’ve been telling my colleagues of the disappointment so I hope there will be some sort of compensation and that the room will be changed so nobody has to experience what we did. Concierge and front desk services were most helpful. We booked several activities with the concierge; they also provided excellent advice and recommendations. The hotel setting is beautiful, overlooking the Bow River. Food service was very good, but prices are high in comparison to my home area.

Very nice other than our prepaid stay through TripAdvisor and gala hotels charged me on my credit card last October, than for no reason, you showed it was cancelled and not paid to you, so I had to pay again in order to stay. Several of hundreds $ more out of pocket on a trip I booked in October 2018. We went on a 15 day trip with not one slip up besides this. This included airlines, rental car, 10 nights accommodations in the US and 6 in Canada. I would suggest partnering with better companies so people like us don't get double charged. TripAdvisor subbed out to Gala which is in Turkey. I didn't pay any less than other sites, but would appreciate some help as something went extremely wrong. Hotel had my reservation but not the money Capital One Credit Card paid either TripAdvisor or Gala, so I had to pay again IN FULL when I had already paid Capital One, which will be copied on this. A word of caution, I have used these sites for booking for years, but they do screw up. Craig D. 8/14/2019
