It was perfect - from the initial check - in to the check-out. The Hotel is beautiful - starting with the exquisite and very welcoming Lobby. The guestroom was very comfortable - loved the bathroom and all of the special products. The meeting room was spacious, well-lit with comfortable chairs. All of the F & B was very good.

Generally, a nice stay. The hotel is classic, from a bygone era, but nicely updated. Our room was good, but our biggest complaint is a lingering odor in the room, that smells somewhat of moisture / mildew. It could just be a by-product of the age of the building, but the indoor air quality wasn't top notch. And not being able to open the window wider than 4" limited the access to fresh air.

Front desk staff was very accommodating in allowing me to see the rooms available before selecting one, bellhop was also very kind and engaging. However, my room was not clean. I found the prior guests running shoes in the closet, which I called to have returned. Later that evening, I took a shower and found gobs of hair plastered to the shower walls - it had clearly not been cleaned. Lastly, we ordered room service (the staff was timely, kind, and again helpful) but the food was disappointing. Mac and cheese tasted like peanut butter, the whole milk was clearly 2% with half and half added to it. The dining options are always a pain point at the Claremont. It would make the experience much nicer to have reasonably priced options in the restaurant or better quality food for room service. Thank you

Balloons on the morning paper, wine in the room with special chocolates, it was all amazing. Helping us arrange transportation to restaurants. She is a gem.

We were celebrating many milestones. My husband had a massive heart attack and was in the hospital for 100 days. After a year of rehab he was strong enough to go on a trip. I was the coordinator of this stay and it was my Sr. Management team that stayed during this visit for their Sr. Management retreat. I have noted below, some of their feedback that was requested. Director #1: Claremont was nice but had terrible room service. We waited forever for requests and then the food orders were wrong most times. The food was only ok too. Lunch by the pool was beautiful, but the food was premade and not good at all. Beds were super comfy and it was a really cute location. Director #2: This was a very good retreat! The hotel was very nice and they were very accommodating. All of the requests we had made prior to arrival were fulfilled as well. I can’t really give too much feedback on the food that they ate, as obviously I didn’t, however, both at dinner and at breakfast in the morning the food orders weren’t done correctly. They ended up comping some of the meals, but it’s difficult when you have a couple of people who are not receiving their food and have to wait while everyone else is eating. My food, on the other hand, was handled very well and was brought to the room exactly as I had requested, on time. I think part of the issue was that we didn’t go out to the restaurants, so the food wasn’t great. Unfortunately that was because I can’t go to non-kosher restaurants so it was suggested that we just get room service for all of the food. We can try to think of another option next time. Director #3: The location was excellent and we had a very enjoyable and productive retreat. I think the use of a suite as a the meeting venues was far superior to a conference room. Director #4: While the rooms and overall location was nice, there were several issues with the food; from the items being incorrect or just not tasting good and cold when delivered.

Part of the reason I chose to stay at the Claremont was because of the pool, needing to relax and so my plan was to have part s of both days at the pool. However, the pool experience was anything but relaxing. There were a zillion kids everywhere. One group would leave and more would come. The place was completely overrun with screaming, yelling, loud kids that filled the pools. Even if there was room I wouldn't have felt comfortable given the pee factor with that many kids in the pool. It seems if you are going to advertise a pool and then charge extra resort fees, you should let the guests know that the pool use is not exclusive to guests and you will be overrun with children. Second, is that I went to the pool in hopes of getting a cocktail. I don't drink a lot but thought it would be nice a have a drink by the pool at the "resort". Then my server informed me that we couldn't get cocktails made by a bartender but rather anything we got would come in a can. This too was very disappointing. Something I'd expect at a holiday inn not a high class hotel.
