« Could have been better »

First off, housekeeping was excellent. They visited at convenient times and did great work. However, I felt like the check-in staff in the Gold Lounge was less than excellent. It seemed like they were being interrupted by our arrival. I also perceived their attitudes as unwelcoming and unfriendly. This was just my experience. Not necessarily a condemnation of the overall service. But it wasn’t a great way to get started on the trip. Also, a small note about lighting: the hallway was very dimly lit. That always leads me to question the cleanliness of the facilities.

From the moment I called to make the reservation I couldn't be happier with the level of service provided by this hotel. They helped me choose the best dates and picked out a beautiful room for my stay. Check in was fast and easy. The bellman took my luggage to my room and the concierge was delightful and even gave us a tour of the hotel. Can't wait to go back!!

I was attending a conference at the hotel across the street and the Fairmont Copley was the "overflow" hotel. I was really impressed with my room and how comfortable and quiet it was. I had an unusual stay because during the conference I learned that my younger brother had died (49 years young) and I needed to go back to the hotel and deal with this emotional issue. The guy cleaning my room was still there but was very quick about his work and was very kind. He was courteous and respectful.

THe website is suboptimal, and there was no valet to take my car at 3pm after waiting 10 minutes. As a result, I needed to go to the front desk and request for someone to pick up my car. As for the website, I wanted to obtain a email confirmation of the Fairmont package where one gets a 2nd night at 50% off, but when I showed up at the front desk they had no idea of this package/award. As a result, I had to call the 1-800 Fairmont # while checking in to request Fairmont to instruct the hotel to give me the package....obviously frustrating. I was trying to decide between the Four Seasons and your hotel, but decided on the Fairmont, but was unsatisfied. Thanks, Steven

The Hotel was cozy and the architecture is beautiful. My room had a slight odor, I'm presuming because the carpet and drapes are old. I think the Hotel could use a bit of a facelift - just to refresh the carpet and other linens and swap out those small TVs for larger wall mounted versions
