Everything was good except for two things: 1. It took a very long time to get our car from the valet and our bags when we were checking out - approx 45 mins 2. We brought two very small dogs with us: one is 2 lbs and the other is 4 lbs. it was very disappointing being charged $40 per dog per day. I understand the need to charge for additional “cleaning” however the number of dogs in the room does not impact the additional cleaning required. This comes off as a cash grab, which not indicative for a Fairmont approach. We were going to stay another night but couldn’t dur to the $160 charge added to the bill.

We loved the pools, the breakfast, and the lounge. We were there for Bluesfest, and it was an awesome location.

The staff were kind and very helpful. Our room I found extremely small for a king delux that is to accommodate 4 people. With the fold out bed you could barely walk around the room, and the sofa bed was incredibly uncomfortable.

« Expected a lot more from a Fairmont Hotel. It was more like a convention hotel rather than the elegance of the Fairmonts »

Disappointed. I love staying at the Fairmont Hotels and expected a better quality hotel. The main restaurant was awful and I had to send my meal back. The rooms were fair. Most of the help was very good but the feel of the hotel with the dance competition going on and the screaming kids taking over the pool area was tacky. This would not be the hotel of choice in the Laurentians!

We actually were surprised at the whole experience at the fairmont considering all the great things we have heard. From the time we booked the hotel it was not a great experience. They booked us incorrectly then charged us twice, then cancelled the reservation without us knowing. Said it was a system error. Then we got there and the front desk had told us we needed to pay for both cars as the free parking was full. Turned out she was mistaken. I even talked to the manager who was not willing to help. Overall not a great customer experience

The dining room servers were warm and friendly. The food was good. Our room experience was unpleasant as we were bitten by ants nightly. I am still recovering from ant bites one week later.

The staff and attentiveness were great, the location and amenities were fine however I found the rooms underwhelming for the price that was paid. Comparing to the other hotels that our other guests stayed at, we found them nicer overall. The rooms are dated but not in a good way and lacking in Fairmont charm and don’t live up to other Fairmont standards. For the price we paid, and being our wedding, a few strawberries was ok but more could have been done.

Service was great for the most part from check in staff. Cleaning staff was also great. Food at choux gras restaurant in the hotel was good but server was mediocre. This is where hotel restaurants stand out from high end restaurants. Waiters aren't up to par with value. The pool service was also a complete disaster with an hour and a half wait before we received our lunch. Several patrons around us also received same disappointing level of service on Monday July 1st. Would return but would take an incentive to do so.

« It would have been great had our room been cleaned. »

Front desk staff and concierge were helpful. Room was nice. However, when housekeeping knocked at 9am we were getting ready to leave the room so they said they would come back. They never did. When we returned to our room later in the afternoon and called to say housekeeping had not come back, they told us housekeeping was done for the day. We ended up without enough shampoo etc for showers in morning. I know the hotel was busy, but it was still frustrating as this was the only weekend we could get away as a family this summer. We chose Fairmont because we trusted in excellent service we have had at other Fairmont hotels before.
