« We had a girls weekend and the Queen Elizabeth was the perfect hotel. »

The hotel was nice and clean. The service at the reception and concierge was very good. The service at the Krema cafe on Sunday morning was very slow and not very friendly. The bathrooms are nicely renovated but the shower door (half door) allows the water to get out of the shower onto the floor.

We arrived by train and our room was ready. However, the room assigned had been occupied the night before and had not been cleaned when we entered. We were quickly relocated. While the relocated room was very comfortable, the one thing we had an issue with was the overall set up of the bathroom. The toilet was in a very awkward position and the toilet seat did not fit the toilet (too small). The shower door also swung towards the sink, not giving a lot of clearance..

Very short stay - arrived at 5pm, left at 3:45am, so we didn't get to fully experience the hotel and perhaps this isn't a fair summary in view of that. However, compared to other Fairmonts we have stayed at, we felt it lacked the warmth of the other hotels. The lobby was vacuous and felt like a convention center lobby - kind of cold and uninviting. No bellman at the door etc.
