Reception staff were outstanding. James is particular at the front desk helped me extend my stay. I was travelling for a family emergency and he helped me immensely in extending my room and keeping the same room. It was a very stressful time for me and his help enabled me to have one less worry. Room was clean, however a rolled up used bed sheet was left in my room. Tried to grab a pizza from the market close to closing time, told to order room service instead, yet I saw others leaving with their food. I was starving and tired after being at the hospital all day and night. I did not end up ordering room service, instead went to sleep hungry as I was exhausted :( Bathtub /shower door is poorly designed. Leaked during every use. Even with a towel down, I worried about the floor below me.

We arrived early and our luggage was stored for us. We had a lovely lunch at the market restaurant. The Gold Level lounge was beautiful and all of the attendants were very gracious. The room was well appointed, but the only comfy surface was the bed. The chairs and couch/lounge were very hard and uncomfortable. We appreciated the tub after a long day.

All of the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Lots of great options for breakfast and dinner in the hotel and the train station right below. The only one issue I had was the bed was to hard. My husband felt the chairs were uncomfortable to sit in.

I had booked two rooms ( one king bed, one with two double beds ) back in April, 2019. I received "upgrade" emails which I agreed to purchase. While I had phoned the hotel directly to ensure that the upgrade was being properly handled, I was told that every effort would be made to have connecting rooms, even if it meant that both rooms had to be double beds. Upon checkin, this could not be accomplished. At lease we were on the same floor. My encounter with Pascal at the front desk was most enjoyable - he really enjoys his job. Pascal was overseeing a new hire employee I think. Pascal left and the transaction was completed by the young lady. I was impressed that she came from behind the counter out front to had me the keys to my room and pointed/explained the direction to the Roselys restaurant for complimentary breakfast. Discussing my upgrade with that of my friends in the other room, we discovered that they were not told about the complimentary breakfast. After a couple of trips to the front desk, Simon the Front Desk Manager met with me. There was confusion for certain about what we were to receive with our upgrade (room only) but after explaining the situation, Simon graciously offered complimentary breakfast for my room. Smart move because my two other friends then joined me for breakfast at Roselys; they had planned to eat out elsewhere. Our room service / housekeeping staff was top notch. I was in room 804 (aug 7 & 8); I hope you can find the housekeeper and give her a pat on the back for a job well done - she was so friendly and outgoing. The hotel was busy what with the Rogers Cup participants but things went well with the elevators, the dining as well as the valet checkout. One final item; we received our bills overnight. There was an error on each bill; we were double charged the hotel upgrade amount for each room. Pascal, again, came to the rescue and had Marie fix the charges. It meant we had to line up again, but it did get resolved. And Simon's note ensured that one room received the complimentary breakfasts.

Room was fine. Main problem was loud music coming from the 3rd floor outside bar that vibrates right through our window into our room in the 10th floor. Our friends on the 9th also complained. This music went from3 pm to 10 pm! We spoke w desk and offered to move us to the other side of hotel but this isn’t a good option when you’ve been unpacked etc, since repacking and moving is quite a chore. This music is Thursday to Saturday and we were there Wednesday to Sunday. They should have turned the music down. It appeared the hotel catered more to outsiders coming to the bar. The restaurant was also an issue since no preference for hotel guests thus a long wait, for breakfast. Concierge for 1000 rooms also not adequate If often only one concierge. We like staying at Fairmont hotels but will need to reconsider if more experiences like this.
