This was the first time I stayed at the Plaza with our children and it was delightful! From the Eloise tea party to the easy access of restaurants in the basement and even the afternoon tea in the Palm Court, it was great!

« Everything I would expect of a top tier hotel and more! »

We had a need for unscheduled hotel accommodations near Central Park. My wife suggested the plaza and we where checked in to the Deluxe Edward suite and a standard room very easily. The plaza staff and quality made an otherwise hectic day very pleasant! I will definitely continue to book at the plaza in the future. The extra money is well spent as you are made to feel special when staying at this property.

« Hospitality was great, however the construction above our room every morning and night of our stay was both a distraction and unsettling. »

The tough idea of being the best is is high level of expectation that follows. Upon arriving 2 lamps were unplugged in our suite that required the butlers assistance. There were 3 hairs in the lavatory as well as the auxiliary sprayer had a slow leak in our tub that was repaired on our the afternoon of our second day. The drilling or buffering above our suite that woke us up every morning of our stay at 7:30 and continued off and in all day into the evening. As a owner of businesses in the restaurant hospitality field, at least being notified of construction would have gone a long way. Simple feedback since you inquired. All of these even minuscule discrepancies would be over looked at most properties, however at the price point of 3 night at the Plaza our expectations of experience was elevated. Otherwise the service from the bellmen, concierge, butler and host in the palm court was to be expected. Thank you for reaching out. Mike C.

Rooms were clean and consistently well serviced . Breakfast was relaxed and good quality although on the Saturday of our stay seemed to be lacking serving staff as service was a little slower than usual

I live in Long Island and stayed for just one night and I have to say I am not one to go for hype but the hotel staff and service exceeded my expectations. I travel a lot and I feel like customer service is a lot better outside of NYC but of all the places that I’ve been to around the world this is one of the best. Just true luxury and class. From the moment my day started Teak at the concierge desk texted me and had me setup for my arrival. I walked into my room and had an amazing gesture from the hotel for my girlfriends birthday that I did not expect. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating and willing to go the extra step for me for whatever I needed. My only complaint is that I left my garment bag for my suit from the cleaners out and the maid accidentally took that and my hangers while cleaning up the room but the hotel was quick to make it right and sent me up a new even better garment bag. The only problem was the gentleman who brought it up to my room with the glasses was not as pleasant as the others and gave me weird vibes, I did not tip him but that is only because I feel my original bag shouldn’t have been taken in the first place and was rushing to get ready because was waiting on the replacement. I took care of everyone there that helped me and he’s the only one that seemed like he was looking for a tip and butthurt about it after and made it uncomfortable throughout my stay when everyone else was pleasant to run into he was being a hater. Other than that though everything was amazing. However I dont like how when I checked out the guy at the desk went over my bill and the charges to my room to have me ok them and then 20 minutes after I checkout I get another email where they charged me for parking. I understand I am not entitled to parking but I don’t appreciate it that he wasn’t more upfront with me about the parking and what was the point of having me ok my bill if they’re going to charge me behind my back afterwords for whatever they want....So for that i give my my stay a 9, just those 2 things could have been handled better in my opinion. I will definitely be back, I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in NYC.

« My experience at The Plaza in New York is excellent from the moment I arrive until I leave »

I love coming to New York and staying at the Plaza. Everyone is so helpful from booking my trip with the help of Allison Korbut to the greeting of the Eddie the Bellman taking up my luggage to my room. I feel like I am family. I truly enjoy just sitting in the lobby and having lunch and talking with all the employees. They all help in making my time in New York so enjoyable and relaxing. This is why I stay at the Plaza at least 8 times a year.

From checking in to checking out everyone was extremely awesome. Eddie, Ted Gave my granddaughter and experience she will never ever forget her whole life. We got a room by the elevator, the room service was slow and delivered the wrong or incomplete items. The room wasn't in great condition - tub looked terrible, cracks in tile of shower. For what we paid, we expected a pristine room. Attention to detail by the Concierge was bad, they got the time and date wrong of our reservations for dinner on two nights and so we had to spend extra time fixing that.
