« Enjoyed the experience of staying in an iconic hotel. »

I stayed at the Chateau Laurier for two nights while attending a conference at the hotel. I found the hallways of the hotel a bit drafty, and the washroom in my room had a few hairs in the tub and sink when I arrived, but other than that, things were great. Really liked the Nespresso machine in my room and visiting the hotel swimming pool.

« Good time »

Polite staff, comfy rooms, had to run around a bit to get my bags since they were not delivered as mentioned. Valet parking at $50 is pricey...downfall are some people who feel they are better than everyone else whether they are guest or people using the convention rooms, that really isn't your fault.

« Good, but not great »

I found this hotel fell short of its expectations. As a beautiful hotel that is quite expensive, the basic amenities found in some less expensive hotels were not there. Free wifi, and a fridge where you can place items are things I am sure the Fairmont could afford for their guests but chooses not too. The staff were amazing and helpful and genuinely cared about customer service.

really enjoyable. Staff were unbelievably helpful. Instructions on how to use the shower might be helpful. I used the Business Centre and it was supremely helpful. The lady staffing it on November 6 was AMAZING!!!! she deserves kudos or an award or something!

The room is very nice, newly renovated. The bed is comfortable so I can get a good night sleep. The location is very convenience. The only complaint I have is the coffee machine does not work, which is very disappointing. I only stayed for one night, I would not bother to complain or call for service.

« Everything I could have wanted, plus 3 croissants. »

When I checked in after midnight I was exhausted from travelling for 14 hours. While I only got a few hours sleep before getting up the next day, they were an exceptional few hours; that bed was something comfortable. The gold lounge was also an enjoyment I wasn't expecting, and it made for a very relaxing way to ease into my day. Although, i did find the coffee making contraption in the lounge to be a little intimidating... Thanks again - see you again soon. Eric

« It was awesome »

It was amazing, the location is so perfect and the staff are all so friendly. I had a blast and just enjoyed my time being there. I am curious as to why there is no sauna or hot tub, I am assuming because of the age of the building but I did not expect there not to be any of the two but that was only a small thing that I noticed because I realize that is on architecture.

The only issue I had was our room location. The hotel was not very full, and I would have appreciated being closer to the elevators, and maybe with a slightly better view. The staff were excellent, however, and we enjoyed our meals in Wilfred.

« generally it is a good experience »

generally ok. but they changed my reservation for a reason uncleared. I reserved a belle vue, queen size bed. they gave a me a belle vue room with two double beds. Moreover, the room key did not work. I had to go back to change it, then my room. Finally they gave me a change, from belle vue room to an ordinary room with a queen size bed, but did not change the room rate.

Overall the experience was wonderful. I found the bathrooms to be very small to move around in. The rooms were beautiful and spacious. The hotel itself was filled with history which was intriguing to read about. it was lovely.. loved my stay.
