I'm afraid the service experienced was not matching the 5 star, 700USD/night expectations we had. Me and my family looked forward being treated as stars, unfortunately we've seen much better hospitality during our 2 weeks trip on the west-coast. Everything within Room 424 was beautiful, clean, and bountiful. Our view of the City and the rooftop terrace below was breathtaking. The rooftop terrace was most relaxing and provided us with privacy. Unforgettable moments were created here and shall remain within our hearts. Thank you for everything.

« Basically a great stay »

A good stay with a couple of niggles. Valet parking took ages each time we collected our car - easily 30 mins each time. During our second stay our daughters were placed in a room at a significant distance from ours which was not ideal.

The service at the front desk was great as was the room. It was large, comfortable and had a very nice view. I was somewhat disappointed with the lack of a pool, the lack of a coffee shop to buy good coffee and a pastry, and also the fact that the garden terrace was closed for an hour for a private function just when we wanted to use it.

« Great except for retrieving the car »

We had a wonderful experience except for the garage. It was like the valet garage had the phone off the hook when we would call from the room. The line was always busy. And we called for the car on 3 different days. We were never able to get through to have our car waiting when we got downstairs. One day, we waited over 40 minutes for our car and we were the only people out front asking for our car.. The valet called to the garage twice because we were waiting so long. The garage responded, “We are working on it” I think the staffing in the garage needs to be addressed

Bed is magnificent, room was sizeable and great. The tablet for providing information should have a conventional print edition of hotel amenities because it is not so easy to navigate for older guests not in tune with today's technology.

For an upscale hotel, this stay definitely fell short. The spa is extremely lack luster, valet sent us to the garage to get our car, and the shower barely worked.

The hotel was fine and the staff friendly. My issue was the main dining room off of the lobby. We needed to eat there because there was not much else in or around the hotel. The service was slow, not great food quality and the cost was way too expensive. Also, you need more comfy seating areas in the bar area. Or open up the lobby seating so you can sit there and order drinks. Maybe open a bar on the patio with the fire pits.

There were several factors that we didn't appreciate during our stay and I will not be coming back to the Fairmont. 1) I reserved a room with a crib. When it wasn't ready by the time we checked in, we asked for the crib to be delivered to our room by 5 pm for the baby's bedtime at 7 pm. The crib didn't come until after 8 pm and by then we had a cranky baby that took a long time to get settled down. The crib should have been ready by the time we checked in 2) Valet service was subpar and overpriced. I cannot believe we paid $75 a night for overnight parking. I understand SF has expensive real estate, but sheesh! Additionally, we called ahead to have our car ready for us. We called about 20 minutes ahead of time and then still had to wait about 15 minutes to get our car. A turnaround time of 35 minutes is unacceptable.

« Enjoyable but lacked the Fairmont touch we have enjoyed in other locations. »

There was no personal touch or attention to customer service unfortunately. We were unable to use our drink vouchers as we were not informed the are only good is the lobby bar. The staff was unable to assist with transportation to a baseball game and attempted to add charges to our bill for mini bar items we did not use. The hotel itself was beautiful and the location was great.

« Beautiful place, great experience, excellent service »

Our experience was wonderful. Not only did we get numerous anniversary celebration moments due to the hotels generosity, it was overall a great first stay at a Fairmont Hotel. We will continue to stay at these locations when we travel because we felt so welcomed and taken care of. The King room had an amazing view and it was very spacious and cute. We loved the insight restaurants. Great location as well!
