We are American Express Platinum cardholders and book through Fine Hotels. This was our 3rd stay and our room was incredible! Thank you so much for providing us with such a beautiful view during our stay. We come to visit our son several times throughout the year and this is the only place we stay.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay there. The room had a great view and the bed was very comfortable. The service was exceptional. Really enjoyed the Hula Bar and Hurricane Room as well. I highly recommend staying here

We stayed three nights, Thurs, Fri, Sat on the 7th (top) floor of the older part - we ahd wall view. This hotel is pricy - we wouldn't recommend it for anyone on a budget.

The Fairmont is truly beautiful and I was impressed with the room size and how quiet it was despite how big of a hotel it is. I did find service to be lacking at times though. We asked the concierge for a late-night dining recommendation and he simply responded "everything is closed" (turns in, this wasn't the case). We also were charged for a minibar item that we didn't purchase and am still trying to rectify this situation.

the hotel room and staff were fabulous-there needs to be better control of the dinner patrons at the Tonga room- i had reservations for 7:30 pm and could not get to the front desk to alert them that we were present-the movement was blocked by others waiting to obtain a table and or reservation. the hostess was not very helpful at first until i let her know i had been waiting for almost 15 minutes and was not allowed to pass the people without reservations-there is a definite need for better control of the crowd-food was wonderful-breakfast could be improved upon--food cold and better selection needed-once again staff was great-i will be back- don h.

« Not impressed at all. They movedus to 3 different rooms. Issues with the first 2 rooms. »

When we arrived we had to be moved twice because of room issues. First room AC was whistling like a bird. Second room wreaked like cigar smoke. We were not very impressed with the Fairmont Hotel. Price vs. what you get. Don't match up. Sorry Just being honest. We paid over 2K for 5 nights.

We were extremely happy with our experience, staying for four nights at the Fairmont, from the moment we checked in until we checked out. The first thing you notice when you enter the hotel is the luxurious foyer and the entire hotel is maintained to a very high standard. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a large room on the sixteenth floor with a fantastic view over the San Francisco skyline . The breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful and prepared to a high standard, the service was fast and efficient, in fact all the staff at the Fairmont were very friendly and happy to help at all times. The location was perfect for us at the top of Nob Hill and we were able to walk to all the main attractions in the city although the walk back was sometimes a challenge! If we are lucky enough to return to San Francisco, we will certainly stay at the Fairmont again.

It was good, although I requested an upgrade but did not receive it and then upon checkout was about to be charged for the upgrade I didn’t receive. We were luckily able to catch the mistake before running my credit card but the experience was a bit concerning.

We've been staying at the SF Fairmont for over 25 years. We keep coming back because the service is great, the staff is great and they have the most efficient front desk I've ever dealt with. They always make us feel like family when we're there. This was our third stay in the past 9 months. The location is great too, right in the middle of life in SF.

Good accommodations, food and eating environment was not what I would expect from a full service hotel. Very average and there was only 1 dining area open. The staff in the dining area and bar very nice but while dining experience needs an update!
