everything went really well. we were offered an upgrade to a high floor room at check in and it was worth every penny. service generally pretty good.

All good except I do not like the fact upgrade certificates have been discontinued. Now your loyalty program is no different than everyone else’s. One major incentive to be loyal to Fairmont has been thrown out the window. I doubt I will remain platinum now as what’s the point. Lots of nice hotels in sfo.

« 5-star prices with 1-star service »

This is the 2nd time we stayed at the hotel. The first time, our room was not ready on time. The 2nd time, only one room out of two was ready on time. The front desk could not care less about service. You have 5-star prices with 1-star service. With all of the bad publicity San Francisco is experiencing along with the poor service your hotel provides, I am sure it is only a matter of time that your hotel takes a decline in business. This comes from a person that rarely makes a complaint.

We had avery enjoyable time. The Hotel and garden were lovely. We enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant. We were treated to wine and appetizers in the Cirque Room. The Cirque Room is my Wife's favorite because of the paintings. For years she had wanted the opportunity to attend a party there and her wish came true. we did not use the voucher for a drink because we went to the Cirque Room. We were very impressed with the staff and the fact that they were always professional and helpful. We enjoyed showing the hotel to our friends who were staying an extra day after they completed their Tauck Tour.

Everything went smoothly. The staff was very nice and professional, the room was beautiful, the hotel was well kept, and all of our $100 resort credits were applied to our food and beverage bill as promised. No complaints at all. We had a lovely time at the hotel.

A very enjoyable stay at the Fairmont San Francisco, we were very pleased as the hotel is ideally located close to all the sights of the city. We felt that the initial meet and greet could of been more informative, however during the rest of the stay all staff were very attentive. One negative point which only effected us on the last night of our stay was the neighbouring room had dogs and they kept us awake until the early hours - this was reported.

We were ask to check in online and give our arrival time. We did that and still had more than a 2 Hour wait for a room. We sat in the bar waiting to be notified of our room being ready. Why ask us to check in early if the room is going to be ready we would have been in Union Square instead of the bar with a bill.

« I was only there for a 1 night stay, but staff were helpful, and the hotel was comfortable. »

I checked in late, and checked out early the next morning. I wished I could've stayed longer, as the location was excellent and I felt very comfortable in the hotel.

We enjoyed an upgraded corner suite with amazing views. The check in host we dealt with was super friendly and easy to deal with. (Maybe Fernando) I cant remember his name. But super helpful. The only thing to address my welcome amenity/treat was not in our room. I had to ask for it. And we had the buffet twice which they added a automatic 15% gratuity. I was not impressed with that. And complained. But nothing was done. As a platinum member. I understand certain charges. But I have stayed at many Fairmont’s. And usually they are accommodating with reducing certain charges.
