« A lot of disappointments, big and small »

Not good. At check-in, I was given a room already occupied. I learned this because I entered the room and there were bags and items in the room of someone clearly attending the same conference I was there. I was given a new room. During the following two days, staff continually entered my room (until I was given a do not disturb sign, which was not available when I got my second room). This was disruptive as I was doing media and radio calls. It was also a bother to continually have to answer the door for staff. The entire experience was poor, odd, and not relaxing.

« Marginal facility. needs upgrades, very Loud. Over priced in todays market for what you get »

You gave us a room across from the laundry very loud, no hair dryer in that room, ask to move and we got a room 2 doors down from the laundry a bit quitter. No robes in that room. Rooms need upgrading for the price. Some staff not very engaging or pleasant. Food average for the price. Pool bar shuts down early, Heaters would be nice on Patio and down by the dock which was an awesome place staff really good but left because we were cold heaters would have kept us at that location longer.

« Very good »

The location and staff at hotel were amazing. I have nothing negative to say. I would recommend having more outdoor seating and dining at hotel to enjoy great weather and view. I also feel the hotel needs a ice cream and sweets shop and to have it open late. Several nights we wanted to get a sweet snack and everything was closed. Also early morning shuttle to take customers to watch sunrise at horseshoe beach would be great. Staff was so friendly and awesome!

Overall, a good experience. Concierge personnel were all extremely helpful and informative. The provided transportation throughout the resort, and the drivers, were a big plus. Again, very helpful Would have liked to have more times available for the Ferry. Also, a luggage rack in the room would have made things easier, and after the first two days, I did not get the daily paper any more.

We had an excellent visit to Bermuda and our stay at the Fairmont Southampton was a major part of the experience. We stayed on the 6th floor as part of the “Gold” package and it was simply excellent. The service from the staff on the 6th floor was excellent, the food was delicious and the ambiance was perfect.

« Extremely expensive but we had an amazing experience »

This was a combined 50th birthday + wedding anniversary + another birthday, all over Spring Break. Our first choice for a resort was sold out so we reluctantly selected this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with the kid friendliness!! Yes, the walk to the beach was a long one but the hotel offered routine shuttles. Horseshoe Bay Beach was the primary beach we wanted to visit which was amazing!! Our favorite experience for the week was making kites at the hotel and then actually flying them at the beach! Easter morning mass at their beach was a nice touch! It was much more expensive than we had expected so we resorted to buying food/snacks at the closest grocery store and using public bus transportation. Unfortunately, there weren't many affordable restaurants within walking distance. The views, beach, activities and service were all stellar! The only downside was the high cost of everything. To rent Qty (2) 2-seater Twizys at $150 each per day was way too expensive for a family of four. For the mid-April time-frame, the water at the beach was rather cold with many Portuguese Man-of-War poison jellyfish but the hotel offers a nice pool as well. Using the bus system, we got to explore quite a bit of the island. For the location, kid-friendliness, activities and outstanding hospitality/service, we would definitely consider staying at this hotel again, possibly as our first choice! =)

Thanks for another great stay (we think that it was our 15th at your hotel). From start to finish, your team made us welcome and the service was extraordinary. A few key folks to thank: Rachel Crook, to Polycarp in Windows restaurant and a fantastic dinner at the Ocean Club due to Cameron and Ashok. In all, a great group of people that are backed by a fantastic facility and great location. Our only complaint? Our stay was too short.

« Truthfully not as overall amasing as in the past. We have been coming to this hotel for over 35 years. »

Your staff was still exceptional. Always friendly and helpful. The building however is beginning to show signs of old age. Drains in sinks and showers always back up. There is an odor that comes up from the drains and the water out of the faucets also has an odor. Our bathroom door would not close, the toilet paper holder fell off the wall. The breakfast buffet was no where near what it use to be and the price has remained the same. Don't get me wrong the food that was presented was exceptional it was just greatly reduced in variety. It would appear the hotel is up for sale and obviously the current management is attempting to reduce overheads in improve the bottom line for the potential buyer. The problem is these cutbacks are noticeable by those of us who have been coming here for years.

« Not a comfortable resort for an unaccompanied person »

At all host stands I was asked "just one" or "table for just you" I asked to sit at the bar at Mediterra, but was told they don't have a bar but I could go to the lobby bar. I asked to eat dinner so it was then a table for 1. Then I was asked - "are you by yourself?" Waterlot Inn only has a "service bar" so I was told at 6pm they were booked and they didn't have a table for 1 until 7:30 pm even though there was no one in the restaurant at they had just opened. Why do we have to sign in every time to use the fitness room? If the spa isn't open, we just use the side door and no sign in is possible - this is a ridiculous policy. I can sign the liability form at check in ONE time for the length of my stay.
