Fairmont St Andrews is the largest purpose built hotel conference venue in Scotland providing 2,787 square metres of flexible meeting and event space.The facilities of the resort range from the Robert Burns Ballroom, which seats 600 delegates, to a 106 seat Auditorium, and a further 20 meeting and seminar rooms, each with natural light pouring through the doors leading onto the grounds.The dedicated events team will tailor-make any visit to include team building activities, both on and off site.

We had a lovely overnight stay, the hotel is very comfortable and relaxing with the staff friendly and helpful. A nice surprise for my husband's birthday when a cake was delivered to our room, a lovely additional touch. Good food and as great breakfast. We requested a room with a view and that is what we got, the sunny weather made it even better.

The Fairmont went the extra mile by giving my wife a birthday card and cake to celebrate her 50th. Staff are extremely friendly and can't do enough to ensure guests are taken care of. Afternoon tea was a treat when we arrived. Couple of minor points, our daughter was with us, age 21, but we couldn't book a family room, eventually call handler when booking understood and allowed, this needs to be changed. Also upon arrival, the room for 3 was only set up for 2 so had to ask for more cups and glasses, otherwise score would have been a 10!

The second you see The Fairmont you are blown away. It is a bit like a French chateau. The interior definitely has the wow factor. ALL staff were so warm and friendly. Rooms were immaculate. Where do I start with breakfast?! There was everything you could ever want. Service was very efficient. All in all we had a fantastic stay and would definitely stay again.

Overall a fantastic experience. All the staff were most helpful. The dining experience was second to none. The accommodation was amazing. The only point raised during the stay was the lack of interactive/smart modes on the TV. Travelling a lot around the world, this is an option in most, if not all or your hotels.

Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms and considerate staff. When booking the package (Dinner inclusive.) but there is only a couple of meals that could be purchased for the £28.50 which is hardly dinner. I think there should be at least a 2 course menu fit for purpose covered by the said amount.

Our greeting was good with a nice valet taking our cases and parking our car. Location beautiful. Showed to our room which had two double beds not the one large one that I had booked. Shower had black matted hair in it. I took this to reception to complain and response was we will get turn down to check your room. The setting for the meal in the evening at the golf clubhouse was lovely. Unfortunately there were no menus in the room so we hadn't realise the choices were so rich, my partner has to eat simple food due to his condition. I didn't sleep because the bed was too small. However my biggest upset was the way we were treated at breakfast. We were told it was until 10am. We got down at 10 to 10. were shown to our table but not warned closure was so abrupt. We spoke to the eggs chef and he said service would go on until about 10.30. However not long after 10 an officious lady came and said "we are closing soon" the implication was that we needed to leave. She went round all the table like this. The curtains were closed on the food at about 10.10am. I have stayed in lots of hotels and never been chased out of breakfast like this. When we left we asked for help with the cases. Unfortunately when we got to our next hotel and took my case out of the car I found that it was damaged. The badge on the front ripped off. We were on a weeks holiday staying at a variety of small hotels and this was to be our treat. It was actually our worst experience of the week.

Beautiful setting. Beautiful rooms. Warm staff. Things that you should fix: The food. We ate at the Clubhouse for dinner. I would rate the food a 3. Breakfast: You need to replace all the tables and chairs. They are old and paint was chipping off of the table. In addition, the cushions on the chairs were dirty. The buffet food was of poor presentation and selection. You should add strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. Your cereal choices are known to be of poor nutrition and unhealthy . The omelette that I ordered had little meat and cheese in it. Taste was not good . Even though the rooms and setting was beautiful, I would stay elsewhere in St. Andrews because of the food. Also, the lobby and decor do not reflect a Scottish theme like it once did. Bring back the warm cozy feeling plus the tartans. The shuttle needs to run every half hour. We were waiting too long for a pick up in town.
