Had an issue with the request of pillows during my stay. When I first contacted the operator requesting for the pillows, the operator mentioned she will check on the availability and get back to me . I waited and did not get a call back, so I called again and was informed that someone had been dispatched to send the pillows to me which did not happen . After around 20 mins I called again and requested for a turn down service and asked them to deliver the pillows during the turn down service . When I returned at night , I noted that the turn down service was done but pillows were not delivered. I had to call again before the pillows were finally delivered

« Great room, staff were fantastic but disappointed the swimming pool was closed »

The hotel was in a good location with direct access to the shopping centre and underground walkways and plenty of choices for eating if you did not want to venture far. The Hotel was very busy over the weekend period with long queues waiting to get breakfast. The staff were wonderful, especially Felicia at check in and the breakfast staff were very friendly, polite and happy to assist. Overall we were quite happy with our stay at Swissotel but we were very disappointed to find the pool was closed for renovations and we were not notified until our arrival. If we had known earlier we would have found alternative accomodation. At our request the hotel agreed to allow us a late check out on our last day because we could not use the pool for 2 days.

I had requested for a Padang facing room a month ahead of my stay and yet when I checked in, I was not given the Padang facing room and told that all the rooms were fully booked. Since I had a baby, I requested for a baby bathtub via email days in advance, but it was not set up. That's OK, so I called housekeeping but the bathtub was not sent to us. Swissotel has this questionnaire to fill once you log into their WiFi and so I mentioned my grievances and at around midnight, the phone rang so loudly and woke both of my kids up, asking me if I have a baby cot??! So the next day, I called in to ask for a tub, which they then sent. But it had a hole in it, and a layer of dust all over. It was disgusting, and I didn't use it. All in all, a rather poor experience. If you don't mind paying a lot of money for very little service, go ahead and stay here.

« Fantastic and comfortable room for a romantic getaway. »

The location is impeccable, with so many great restaurants nearby, but for the local on a staycation, the room was an oasis away from the mundane yet with the comforts of familiar haunts nearby. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the television humongous. Oh, and the surprise room upgrade was definitely a plus.

The service was great from every staff member I dealt with. My only negative was that I didn’t feel my room was as described. I don’t think it had a premium harbour view. There was also no one to help get a cab in the morning when we needed one.

« Great hotel with great facilities at a great location. »

Everything was great, however the hotel should have communicated to guests at the time of reservation that any facility like the swimming pool and restaurant (Asian Market) will be closed during the period of stay. I believe the planning of the swimming pool and restaurant closures were planned much earlier. Though there were alternative arrangement to use other hotels' swimming pool, it would be very inconvenient to do that. Very disappointed cos had planned a surprise staycation for the wife but felt let down.

« Great Hotel To Stay »

Staffs are polite, friendly and attends guest with enthusiasm. Rooms are clean and comfortable in a contemporary design. View from our room are gorgeous overlooking Marina Bay/South. Hotel is located 3 minutes walk away from City Hall MRT Station which practically connects you to all corners of Singapore. We are glad to have selected Swissotel The Stamford.

By far the nicest hotel of our trip, very comfortable and well appointed. Bathrooms were sizeable and very nice to use. We stayed twice at the beginning and end of our trip and enjoyed our stay both times. Very nice hotel and ideally located. Would recommend to any traveler to stay here.

Even so the pool was closed the staff tried to get us to a pool close by. We would stay again and recommend the hotel. It was a nice big room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Great that the room had 2 double beds in it and we didn’t require a roll-away bed.

Stay was good. Room cleaning services second to none. Dining room was a little confusing with people queuing while there were a lot of unmade tables free. Breakfast hot foods closed off at 10.15am and not 11am as told.

I found the overall stay very good but your bar prices are over the top 22 dollars for a brandy and dry ginger was very extreme and forty dollars for two drinks was far too much as a result I never purchased any more drinks at the hotel for the rest of my stay.

« Air con vs Plastic bottles »

I believe you now have your aircon set to 21 degrees to help be more 'environmental', yet you place 4 plastic bottles in the room on each day... kind of defeats the object, specifically as we all know that plastic is never always really recycled. Overall, was a nice stay.
