« A Great Hotel in a Great Location »

This was our first taste of a Fairmont Hotel. It was lovely to get the E Standby upgrade and Fairmont Gold was amazing. My only criticism is that there were 3 of us and it would make sense to include 3 robes, 3 slippers etc. We had to ask on more than one occasion for this to be sorted out. The room was lovely although a little dark and we had to get 2 lights replaced as they were not working, and it seemed that the maintenance man took a bulb from beside the TV to replace the one in the toilet so we still never had full working lights during the week. The curtains were also not very clean (room 850) The hotel itself is wonderful and very well run and the Gold services are well worth it. You would have scored 10 had the room been perfect but it had the issues listed. We are considering coming back in July 2020 with our family.

Lovely helpful friendly staff. Great range of facilities, lovely rooms with great bathrooms. We were on the half board option and on one occasion ate in Marcos Italian restaurant where the service and food were really excellent. The buffet restaurant on the whole was good with regularly replenished dishes and changing choices. Some additional vegetarian dishes in the main selection would be appreciated. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend

Great real issue was we lost money from what we strongly believe was taken from the room. My wife left her wallet in her handbag hanging on the office chair, which sadly got removed when we where on the beach. We reported it as missing, but without evidence we never followed up on the claim as we believe we had different chamber service on this day and we felt it wasn’t fair to cast blame on both without 100% knowing who removed the wallet. This is the first time in 12 years of visiting the UAE we have ever experienced this kind of event. Sadly the wallet contained around 500 dirum which is very tempting and a degree of fault must fall on us for not using the safe when not in the room.

« Modern hotel with private beach and great staff »

The 1st bedroom I received did not match my level of expectation. It was stuffy, smelly and extremely humid. I complained to the receptionist and after they did a check-up, they finally agreed on giving me another room. I was pretty disappointed by the situation and the long time it took them to take action. So I had decided to checkout the next day, even though it means losing all my money. But of the directors at the hotel and her team, went above and beyond to reverse the situation. I was staying in the hotel for almost a week as part of my holiday and my level of expectation when it comes to hotel is always high. But after this incident, I had a fantastic stay and really enjoyed my stay there.

« Good room, fantastic view. »

We enjoyed our stay apart from the noise. We had requested a room with no adjoining door, but there was and we could’t get a room without. We had noisy children in the adjoining room and also in the library area next to that. Add to this children running up and down the corridor and our frustration was complete. So much for a peaceful holiday.

Amazing from start to finish. We had the gold package which made our trip really special with amazing attentive staff. Very spacious room for our 5 year old to explore. Beach and pool fabulous.

Thank you to the room upgrade , we enjoyed nice ocean view on our stay. As the hotel maintains as Lucy art, would be better if there were coffee machine in the room, as only instant Nescafé was available.
