I loved the accommodation. The villa was a dream. Had a problem with the light switches. But when I contact ed the reception they sent maintenance. Unfortunately when maintenance arrived he was sent away. I personally went to reception and was talking to the lady there when the reception manager was passing by and stopped to assist. Very warm and friendly Indian lady, short hair, smartly dressed. Her approach and assistance was excellent. The problem was resolved immediately. Before I could get back to the villa the electrical problem was resolved. My stay at Zimbali was memorable. The fauna, layout and breathtaking views unforgettable. Customer service I experienced at reception was excellent. I contacted reception with all my enquiries for my stay and the service was truly a pleasure. Well done to you guys. Would definitely recommend you.

On arrival service was courteous. The resort has nice facilities and an incredible view. Dinner was good at the Indian restaurant and breakfast was good with a decent selection. The resort is big and more could be done at check in to offer and explain all services.

There was a huge improvement on the services, especially housekeeping which has been an issue for years. Siyanda from 31 Degrees really went out of his way to take care of us on every level, he honestly went out of his way to make our stay a very special one. Bongiwe Ndlovu from housekeeping was also awesome, took good care of us. Duma from 31 Degrees, Gameni from Coral Tree as well as Rivak from Osa, were all helpful and willing to help. The only let-down was the in-room dining service which was pathetic which is why the people mentioned above ended up helping.

Best place to visit in Durban if you are after proper relaxation. Amazing and very comfortable rooms with all that you need. Amazing views of the ocean. Beautiful walking trails. Amazing pools. Weather is always warm all year round. Overall very satisfied.

The Rooms were beautiful however Aircon left on by Staff - freezing and we had to order a Heater for the room The Manager informed us that there was no record of payment received for our check in on the 15/5 and we had to prove we paid No Credit Card details asked on arrival so we had to pay cash for our Dinners, drinks and room service - not good for a resort with your reputation !

All was well, from check-in to leaving. Car valet service was very good as well as breakfasts. Lot's of places to choose from to chill-out. Cleaning and turn-down service of rooms however differed vastly from day to day. Very haphazard and not consistent.

« Faulty towers had nothing on this place »

From the totally abysmal check in process, to the inability to sign for food, through the failure by the hotel to actually book the restaurant bookings that we had phoned previously to book, to the closed “all day restaurant” and inedible food, though to the broken windows, this place is a disaster. The only bright spot was one waiter (Prevash) who deserves a medal.
