We really enjoyed this stay, very relaxing, right on the River Lot. Room was very clean, a short walk to the restaurant with amazing views which served excellent food and great parking. We will certainly return.

« Good stay »

We had a good stay at the hotel. We had a problem with th hit water on our first day. We complained and it was fixed the following day. The staff were very nice and coped really well with the language barrier. As our French was none existent. The room we stayed was really lovely with a lovely view from the balcony. Breakfast was lovely with a great choice. The restaurant when you can have breakfast or evening meal was a beautiful room. Would stay again

« Well worth a detour. »

The best Mercure we have stayed at so far. Main services are in the old mill building, accommodation is in 9 blocks of four rooms each along the river side.Our room was exceptionally well furnished, the bathroom having “his and her” basins, and a roll-top bath. Bedroom furniture was of an excellent standard, with two comfortable arm chairs and lots of cupboard space. We ate there on three successive evenings, and had no problem choosing from either the menu of the day, or the a la carte. The view from the first floor restaurant over the river was a bonus, never before have we watched two kingfishers feeding as we had our breakfast. Try to get a first floor room on the river side for the best experience. The only possible issue would be getting to the dining room if the weather was really awful - there is always room service of course.

Hotel on outskirts of town, walkable but route is alongside a busy road. Room was generous size and comfortably furnished, room entertainment channels very limited.

The staff was very nice. The hotel was quiet and pleasant. I was a bit reluctant to stay at a Mercure again as they tend to get very old. I had stayed in Bordeaux before and the bedroom was very depressing. The only thing I would improve at Moulin de Madame would be the gym. It would be nice to have new equipment and to face the river. How beautiful it would be. But again that did not ruin my experience as everything was nice. I enjoyed breakfast very much because the food was good, the room was quiet and the view was really pleasant.

Little out of town but worth all detours.There is nothing which would get any minus points.Evening meal was very nice,wine selection was also fine and breakfast mast carbon copy of evening meal.We are sorry we arrived late and couldn't utilize all facilities.

On arrival we were warmly greeted and every effort made to make us feel welcome before being taken down to the riverside terrace for drinks while watching the rowers who we had travelled to meet. An excellent meal and a sound nights sleep made this a highlight of our trip.

This is not a 4* place. From the 1st moment it was a disaster & we left 2 days early after a huge row as my husband was furious I had booked such a terrible place. The staff, food were awful & my husband had gastroenteritis after our stay. It's the 1st & last stay in a Mercure hotel. Sofitel Biarritz was so perfect in April but this was a nightmare

This hotel was so good when we stayed last year we had to return.The setting on the Lot is fantastic even though the river wasn,t as attractive as last year due to it being a muddy brown colour due to heavy rain further up stream.The rooms were brilliant and the staff very helpful.The only downside is that every other hotel we stay in pales in comparison{quite unfairly}.May well be back next year.
