Overall my stay was really good. I wish that room service would have cleaned my room while I was out but not a huge deal. Biggest complaint was probably getting stuck on the elevator when it stopped working when we were leaving but I was accommodated for that mishap. It was scary but I’m glad the hotel did something about it.

Hotel staff extremely nice and friendly upon arrival and through out my stay. Rooms were modern, clean and spacious. I booked this hotel to celebrate my 35th birthday based on the amenities (more specifically the pool). However my mother and I weren’t able to find any space. The pool was over crowded. There were no limits on how many guests could come and no supervision on if the pool was being utilized by actual hotel guest. I was very disappointed that as a paying guest I could not use the pool.

« Great amenities with poor customer service. »

Check-in, the room, amenities were all great. However the security you have to enter the pool was ridiculous. After proving we were guests at the hotel the man on duty not only searched through our bag but then accused us of trying to sneak a beer can in. Following the accusation he dug his hand in our bag with little regard to personal belongings. There was no beer and the entire encounter was uncalled for. Upon leaving the elevators were down and the text service for valet was not working. When we got to the concierge we were told it would be a 30 minute wait before our car would be delivered. If this is normal practice you should just stop the valet service completely.

« Its hard to compare to other hotels because I'm never stayed in a place quite like this. »

Stayed at your location to watch the Fight2Win show in the ballroom. Your room was very comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer. The staff were all very helpful at answering questions and making sure our stay was nice. I accidentally booked our room through heads and beds or something which made us nervous. Their website tries real hard to look like it was the Fairmont. Everything worked out.

The experience was overall very good. We agree that the good outweighed the bad but the annoyances did add up over our three night/three day stay. The Good: mostly polite staff in the Gold lounge with some extra attentive and helpful staff members (Madison, Randy, and Dialy come to mind). The breakfast buffet and Garrison restaurant were both superb, particularly the service and food at Garrison. Pool itself was great - salt water, visually appealing. Bike rentals were fun (Cannondales) but would have appreciated a longer rental time than 2 hours ($25/hour additional after that), particularly because all of the other bikes were still on the stand when we returned. Honor bar was really cool and I experimented making a drink with the extensive bar one night. I liked the little cocktail book they had next to the bar. The Bad: NOISES!!!!! First, at the pool. All day you can hear the metal doors that allow people in and out of the pool area banging together like clashing drums. Mostly from the wait staff. It is highly annoying and basically ruined our peace and tranquility at the pool. Next, our room was directly under the Gold Lounge and we were woken up by the chairs streaking across the lounge floor every morning at 630 am (till we switched rooms to a much less impressive room). Even while in the lounge, you would hear the chair legs screeching across the floor - really awful. You'd expect a room upgrade for this hassle, but we actually got a downgrade. And nobody offered us anything until we suggested spa day passes ($25 value x2), which we were given (thanks) along with two mimosas (thanks again). Another annoyance is the pool chairs. If you can get one, be careful - the edges are extremely pointy and I scratched my foot on one (was gushing blood). Another thing about the pool - you'll need sandals or shoes around it, because there are many areas (poor design) that are too hot to stand on for more than a few seconds. Relatedly, the men's steam room walls/floor were too hot to lean against and so we had to sit upright with our feet in sandals (again, poor design). Overall we felt it was a very solid experience but the operation could use some serious improvements.

The stay itself was great. Only disappointment was due to less than forthright cleaning staff. I realized shortly after checking out that I had left my heavy duty Ventev IPhone charging cord plugged in next to the bed. I called the front desk and was transferred to lost and found. They said it hadn’t been turned in at that point but would check with housekeeping. I left my name and number but have not heard a word. I can only imagine that they decided to keep it for themselves rather than turn it in. Outside of that, we enjoyed the room, pool, and fitness center. The rest of the staff was friendly and polite for the duration of our stay.

The room was great and the bathroom was very large, which was also a nice surprise. The bed was so comfortable as well. The taller guy with the beard who guards the pool is rude and when were were in the pool area several people were talking about him smelling their drinks. I think more tact should be used for guests staying at the hotel. The breakfast food at the restaurant downstairs has a lot to be desired as well as the service. It was very slow. The bartenders at the bar inside upstairs are very friendly and quick, but the ones over by the fake grass are extremely slow.
