Again, very well received, professional staff very friendly, they listen to your needs, and help you in every way with a smile. Very comfortable bed. Would have liked to have been offered the choice of a bath or hamman at check in, as this was advertised on website... it was too late when I noticed no bath (when I went to have one) as my partner was exhausted and already in bed. The room had a disgusting smell in it which I’m pretty sure was smoke, despite this being a ‘non smoking’ room / hotel. Again due to being up super early (4 am) and waiting in the lobby for almost an hour for the room to be ready (almost 1 pm) my partner didn’t want the fuss of changing rooms as we would have to wait again so this was very disappointing as I just had to put up with it for our whole stay. I would recommend you checking if smokers are anywhere near the air conditioning units as the smell may have been coming in through there. We enjoyed the gold lounge access, note there were some flies around cakes / an insect in the croissants though and it was disappointing when a dish ran out (only veggie main for dinner), I was promised more and waited half an hour but the item (aubergine) that arrived had no sauce (when the first batch was in a lovely rich tomato sauce so it wasn’t good). Breakfast was a highlight thanks. At check in when the room was not ready, I went back up to the desk after half an hour and two staff members both immediately interrupted me before I could say anything to say they’re doing their best etc - it was like they were freaking out, I had to say a couple of times I’m not checking if the room is ready, I had a completely different question about the lounge access. The staff should never assume and also let the guest say what their query is rather than interrupting and assuming. I don’t think I could recommend staying here to friends, 5 stars but something lacking with my (very reasonable) expectations. Biggest issue was the horrible smell in the room, you should have picked up on this through adequate housekeeping and offered us a better room.
