I stayed in this hotel many times this year.The well-trained staff leaves me many good memories in Chengdu.I was deeply impressed by two girls: One is called Jessie. When I arrived this hotel, there were many people waiting for check-in.When it's my turn, she explained the situation briefly and concisely to acquire my understanding. Meanwhile, she helped me check in quickly and prepared two room cards for me based on my preferences without my tip.It's a good experience. Another girl is called Silvia.Sometimes, I had demand for meals in hotel. Once,she shared her experience in different dinning halls with me.Based on my requirements of time and taste preferences,she can always give me some good advice.And she had a dazzling smile which make guests feel warm. I think this differential treatment to guest is one of the core competitiveness of a hotel.Well-trained staff can grasp the demand of guests a few conversations.Without doubt,these girls have this ability.

As a frequent business traveler to Chengdu, I was well taken care of as always by the staff at the Fairmont. I was able to dine in Miku - very pleasantly surprised by the creativity and quality of the meal and by the attentiveness of the staff. And as always the staff in the Gold Lounge took very good care of me - Evelyn, Sandara, and the rest of the team do a great job.

The hotel at the front desk is very friendly and welcome, like Caroline she is a sweet staff. The location is near Subway Station that is convenient for going out; inside of room and washroom look gorgeous and fantastic. My family and I were extremely happy with our stay. We had an excellent experience with friendly helpful staff from the first email contact through to check in, dining and check out. The staff was really kind and willing to attend any request. We stayed in this 5 stars hotel for 5 nights. My room was a corner room which was spacious, clean, modern and have a free extra bed for my child. The decor and bush outlook was lovely. We had very nice dining experiences in the restaurant and Chinese Restaurant. The food was very reasonably priced, food quality and variety truly proved to be a highlight of our stay. Not only was the food good, it was fantastic!!! Amazing F &B with very high service standard, waiters and waitresses were bright and happy with great focuses on their customers. We would like to say Thank You for the great dining experience. The hotel facilities, swimming pool and gym room were good maintenance and user friendly. This is one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed. I will definitely stay again and highly recommend to others. Thank you Fairmont Chengdu!

I greatly enjoyed my most recent stay, and was pleased to receive a room upgrade (as a frequent guest in the hotel this year, it is nice when this is recognised). The suite however was not of a high standard - the condition of the furnishings was poor, and I would have been deeply dissatisfied had I paid for this room. The in-room dining is below-average, I ordered and after delivery, I then had to ring to complain about my dish, which was replaced. The TVs stopped working, the maintenance staff arrived quickly though and solved the issue. There is plenty of water provided, but inadequate coffee for the machine, and the refilling of the amenities is not consistent. The breakfast service depends on the day you attend, on the Sunday the tables weren't cleared regularly, although there are always staff members present who can understand English (as a regional hotel in China I do feel there is enough staff with enough language ability to make communication for non-Chinese speakers possible). On Monday however I was able to get through quickly and to my satisfaction. It is however the quality of the staff that make the trip - I can put up with issues if I know that the staff are willing to try and help the guest, and actually do work to try to rectify situations and comply with requests. The staff at Fairmont Chengdu are a real asset - in a previous trip accompanying me to the hospital with my son, this time helping me to track down a store selling a local snack I had been asked to bring back. You can always get the help you need, and that help is always given well, without grudging the request. As I said, I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, as I know that if I have an issue (and there is usually something), that I can speak with caring and responsive staff who will do as much as they can to assist me.

I stay at the Fairmont Chengdu quite frequently on 2-3 day business trips. As usual, the service and accommodations were outstanding. The concierge desk is very helpful as always - Jasmine, Jessica, and Hunter - and the staff in the Gold Lounge made me feel very welcome - Eiffer, Claire, and Candy. The gym is nice and well maintained, always easy to get in a morning run on the treadmill.
