I had a very small room with no air conditioning. I asked for upgrade was not possible. The window was locked and could not be opened. I ask the receptionist to open and was not done as a result lots of Moskitos bite me. The whole night I could not sleep. When a hotel doesn’t have air conditioning at least at the window should be applied at the window Moskitos protection grit. The next day I complained at the front desk but the lady said it’s to late I should had called in the night? What for sorry?? In oder to spray chemicals in the room which by the way are dangerous for the health and the ecological environment?

No problems on this occasion but sometimes it can take a lot of time to wait to check out because of a queue of people, even though my room is paid and I have no additional costs.

Everything fine according IBIS standards. Location close to metro. Issues: 1/ Accor internet price paid one day before arrival double high vs. street price when arrived (not fair for loyal members) 2/ always problem to have VAT invoice, 2 days stay required 2 separate invoices 3/ automatically fee for car parking was added to my account but I arrived by plane / metro

Everything fine according IBIS standards, location on suberbs of Brussels but close to metro station. The only problem is to have invoice, always staff to struggle to print out VAT invoice with proper data . Also price from Accor internet portal double vs. street price when arrived (not sure if it is fair for members)

TV channels were completly shuffled and should be reorganised. Except that, staff were very polite and friendly. If you could open the door ( by the fence ) directly connecting to the street, it would be nice.

The room was clean. The breakfast was good. I also had my dinner there, pizza on Sunday evening. It was really warm and nice. The checkout was super easy. I just dropped my key into the box and left. The hotel send me the receipt by email. That was helpful. Overall, a very good experience.

Overall fine. Comfy bed, but insufficient power plugs at desk (one socket - needed for desk lamp) and strong smell of cigarette smoke in bathroom.

« A supposedly accessible room in an inaccessible hotel »

Having booked an accessible room I found that the entrance door had a significant step which I could not negotiate with my mobility scooter without dismounting and then performing manual manoeuvres to overcome the threshold. The room itself had a flat access shower but without any handrails, there was a rather wobbly folding plastic chair and the shower space had two rather flimsy bifold doors which provided no support whatever. Previously I have found Ibis hotels to have adequate to good accessible facilities, the Brussels Erasmus certainly seems to fall well below this standard. On our initial arrival which was early, the booked accessible room was not ready, this was not a problem and we headed off into the city. On our return we were initially given the key to a non accessible room, having negotiated lifts and corridors only to find this out we retraced our steps to reception and after some extensive discussion we were sent to another supposedly accessible room, whether it was or not is open to interpretation but as we were only staying for one night and we had already had a long day further discussion seemed futile

Plenty of ants in the room. In the morning had to brush them out of hair. Disgusting... Company payed city tax at the moment of reservation, but staff asked to pay one more time at arrival. So I paid, only later found out that company already has payed.

« Ideal Hotel with good Public Transportion »

This Hotel is ideally located within 20 minutes journey by train to City Centre. There is a grocery Store nearby within 15 minutes walk. The hotel is well managed with friendly staff, and also have enough parking facility within and nearby the hotel. We have thoroughly enjoyed staying here.

Very comfortable, but it can be noisy (from the outside traffic) if you do not shut the window properly. Having a restaurant on-site is extremely useful and the chilled beer in the evening was really refreshing. Staffs are very helpful and pleased to see them in casuals. Keep it up guys. Will definitely stay at IBIS Erasmus again!

OK, room not a large as other IBIS hotels (eg IBIS in Aalst). Budget type of hotel and a bit pricey.
