« Good location for touring around Lisbon »

A typical Ibis Styles with breakfast included. Rooms are adequate. Note that aircon in European Ibis is often centrally set to either heat or cold depending on the season. We were ok as the weather was mild and aircon not needed. Check in was a bit of a shambles as not enough staff available at a busy time. Breakfast offered a reasonable choice and supply of items was good. Paula in the bar was cheerful and helpful. Good location for tours as it is only a few minutes walk from Marques we Pombal where most tours depart.

The hotel itself was satisfactory ie very pleasant and helpful staff, the rooms were clean and bright, it was in a good location, and the continental breakfast was plentiful and fresh. However the noise level in the room we stayed in was awful. We were in a room on the second floor in the corner of the hotel facing two main roads. Not only were the traffic sounds unbearable but we also had very noisy guests both above us and backing on to our room. This completely spoiled what could have been an excellent stay.

The hotel added to what was a very relaxing and enjoyable visit to the wonderful city of Lisbon. Hotel was ideally located for exploring the city. The rooms were good size and very clean, very good value. Plenty of breakfast options so no complaints there. Staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. Loved our time.

« Great Place, Great Location, Great Stay! »

This hotel is centrally located to everything Lisbon because it is on the Metro's Blue Line. The hotel is just a block from the Avda Liberdade where the Marquês de Pombal Metro Station is located. The Metro is fast and efficient and can quickly whisk you and your party virtually anywhere in the city. The hotel has very nice rooms and offers a first-rate breakfast.

We stayed for 4 nights in IBIS, and we only get 1 bottle during our first time checked in to the room. and the rest of the nights there is no bottle water provided. the air con is not working ( as the receiptionist told us is winter time so only heater working, asked us to open the window, while there is NO wind at all, so 2 nights we slept for 3 hours because it was too hot. and last, we checked out the luggage room is actually in the basement, we have to carry ourselves our luggages, and the employees just looking at us not even helping, should get a proper same level luggage storage room.

This hotel is convenient to shopping, site seeing, restaurants, and Metro! The hotel has a wholesome well stocked breakfast to start your day right. The bar is open all afternoon and evening serving great snacks, beers, and wines. My room was comfortable, quiet, and included all the standard features.

Very clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff, excelent breakfast. Everything top. But the noise level in our room (11001) was unacceptable high. The noise is coming from the elevator through the ventilation system. Even with ear plugs not possible to sleep.

« An enjoyable short stay »

This is an Ibis that is more enjoyable due to its larger television screen (43 inches) with a wide range of international channels, a stylish and comfortable bathroom and a modern and cozy decoration in the bedroom. The location is in a good neighborhood and close to a metro station and the services met the Ibis standards as expected. On the short side, the hotel is very busy and I could not get the benefit of a late checkout from my silver status.

« Disappointing and Inconvenient Reservation and Check-in Experience »

I can understand the limitations of an automatic reservation system resulting to cancellation of reservation after 6pm and when the hotel allegedly encountered an issue with the Guarantee card at 8pm. despite an email that we are arriving that night, the one who replied to the email did not even bother to offer to reserve again a room. Since I was about to board a plane to Lisbon and will arrive around midnight, I asked my husband to make another reservation and fully pay while I am on my way to Lisbon. However, upon arrival at the hotel, two rude and unaccommodating front desk staff “welcomed” us , and the first thing the first staff asked is where is the credit card used for the payment. So I explained to them that my husband who is not travelling with me, paid for the accommodation because of the cancellation I received when I was about to board the plane. I asked if my husband can send the standard third party payment confirmation, and the guy even gave me the wifi password so I can contact my husband. All of a sudden, a second staff arrived and they spoke and all of a sudden said that we cannot check in unless I produce the physical card even if it is already charged and paid, and even if my husband will send the third party confirmation. I asked if we can sort things out in the morning since it is midnight and I am with a senior citizen, and considering all three nights are fully pre-paid. I even offered to pay for the first night and they can just refund the following day once I have spoken to the manager. Despite request to sort things out in the morning since no manager is available in the night shift, the two staff insisted that I should fully pre-pay again all three nights, and they will just cancel the first payment the following day. If I don’t agree, they will not check us in despite the fact that the 3 night stay is already pre-paid. The Manager did not even reached out to us despite request to do so. I only receive a note that there is a pending attempt to cancel payment. Until now, I do not know if payment has been cancelled. I did not receive any semblance of usual Accor welcome to Gold member, and loyal patron for 10 years. No solutions were given by the rude staff, who at some point, raise their voice, and only stopped when I said “your conduct is so unbecoming of a front desk officer or anyone from the hospitality industry” I like Ibis Styles for the simple and on-the-go style. I chose this one due to location. This is our last stop on a 17 day holiday, where we stayed in Accor hotels only (Mercure and MGallery). But I will never stay in this hotel again. I have never been treated so badly and inconveniently in any hotel, regardless of hotel class. I just handed my credit card and let them charge whole three nights, than argue with people who are very unreasonable. If only our airport transfer has not yet left yet and my mom was so tired, I would have transferred to another hotel even at midnight.

« Meet satisfaction but... »

For business trip, it is ok for me and suitable size of bed, not big but can manage space than other small hotels. Breakfast was not good, only bread, and I expected just boiled egg was not there even. When checking in, there was request of company credit card hold in their spot, but I couldn't. So I had to pay cash or other card.
