Room was big but in a weird layout of a L shape. Airconditioning unit was at the short end and hence did not cool the room adequately. I was unable to sleep due to a warm room. Service at 10eme was ok, but the front office staff at the opposite Ibis was rude and did not seem capable to cope with guests’ requests

Hotel staff was pleasant and obligingly gave us a fan for our room, 233, when the air conditioner didn’t work. Next morning we were moved to room 333 but discovered that the air con wasn’t working there either, so we had to pack again and move to room 533, where all was O.K. We felt that the courtyard between the front building and the back building -where we were staying - needed a good clean up as there was bird poo on the tiles and discarded air conditioners waiting for removal. Some plants in pots would liven it up well. Apart from those inconveniences, we found the hotel a good place to stay - great transport options close by.

It was as expected for an Ibis. I one complaint is that I was given a room on ground floor and there was a door to some kind of patio. So it was very noisy. There was noise from the door slamming shut all night long.

We were going to originally stay one night in Paris but then decided to add another night. If I had a grip it would be that photos of reception were shared over 2 hotels in the same street. But the rooms were very clean and reception were also very helpful

We were a group of 8 people. First, my agency called asking for the rooms to be on the same floor, they were not and I had to manage between underage students staying in 2 different floors. Second, before I arrive to the hotel, a block was made on my card for the amount of 85 euro. When I asked at the hotel, they said it was just a block so I paid the whole amount by cash but the block was not yet removed on the amount on my card. I do not know who to talk to about this. Last, we left our rooms on the 20th in the morning, a student staying in room 226 had 200 euro in his bag, we came back at around 8 pm to find out that the money disappeared from the room. I talked with the reception, and with the manager the day after, they asked me to go present a complaint but it was our last day in Paris and we had a big event at the Grand Rex so I couldn't do it. I was really angry because the housekeeper who cleaned the room claimed that she did not touch the bag saying that the bag was on the bed so she couldn't even fix the bed, and that was wrong because she did, and I was in the room and the bed was made. We left the hotel, and I personally refunded the student with the 200 euro since no action was made from your side. Honestly, for a chain hotel, and as an experienced person in the hospitality field, I was expecting for a lot more from your side and I was disappointed with the way you deal with problems. I was a housekeeping senior supervisor and a sales manager for a 5 star hotel in Lebanon for more than 6 years. I was a tourist and a stranger in your esteemed hotel and did not receive the help needed. I know that you have rules for all lost and found, policies to follow and instructions but I really think there should be some exceptions when tourists are leaving the same day or someone they can follow up with after they leave. Also, I contacted my bank, and the amount of 85 euro is still blocked. Thank you for following up and return back to me on al… or 00…6 for further details regarding the issues I presented. « 800 Euros has been stolen from closed luggage from my room. »

I am extremely dissatisfied with the experience at Ibis paris Gare de L’est TGV 6 Rue Saint-Laurent, 75010 Paris, France. 800 euros has been stolen from my closed luggage from my room in my absence, between 22 to 23 may 2019, obviously only hotel cleaning staff have access to my room. I reported this reception they said we can do nothing for now, tomorrow our manager will check photages of CCTV. In the morning manager told me to report this to police and submit police report to us and then hotel manager will submit this to insurance company they will contact me for refund next week or for any details. I have submitted the police report on 24 may 2019 to hotel manager and to my company in Paris for follow up. I had a flight at 25 may 2019 so am not in Paris. Previously i had good trust on IBiS brand, but this very shameful that our belongings are not safe on IBiS brand. I am working with international company having more than 3000 employees round the globe traveling all the time. I highly looking forward that insurance company will refund the amount as soon as possible with the corporation of hotel management, In case if they create problems in refunding i will definitely suggest my company in paris to take action on police report, suggest my company to not to book any hotel from ibis brand. As belonging are not safe. Your postive response and actions are highly appreciated in this matter.

bed was very uncomfortable, there was what looked like a large cushion rather than a mattress. Room was not cleaned thoroughly, had hairs on the armchair and in the bedroom including on the towels!

Arrived around 20:00h and already by the check-in the experience was not good. The reservation for the 3 rooms were prepaid and normally by other Ibis everything is already prepared. This time it wasn't and even worse, I didn't receive the drink voucher, benefit for Le Club members (silver+). When I asked for it presenting my card, the guy at the reception informed us that he normally receives from his superior a remark and for our case/reservation, there wasn't this information and he could't do anything about it, it doesn't matter if I had the benefit or not. I should speak with someone else in the next morning. The room was relative small, acceptable for Paris, and the shower was not good, it was unable to hold the temperature and it was a mix of cold/hot water. Cleanliness could be improved and breakfast was ok for the price. Another positive aspect are the automatic curtains. I'm not willing to stay there anymore due to the bad service experience I had.

We stayed here because it was close to Gare de L'est where we arrived and left from Paris. We've stayed at other Ibis hotels in Europe and had great breakfasts. Here the breakfast room was a disaster. The coffee machine was filthy dirty, one morning there was no cutlery( we actually saw another guest take the spoon out of the jam jar to stir her coffee with put it in her mouth, then put it back in the jam jar), other mornings there may be 3-4 pieces of cutlery. The breakfast selections were always picked over with only a couple of each item available and much of what was there was old and stale. We know the same toaster bread was put out 3 days in a row(it was so dry and curled up it was inedible). The jam jars were mostly always empty. One day we did see the breakfast attendant replace them but he took the dirty, sticky spoons out of the empty jars and put them straight into the new jars. There was some dirty looking paper bags with dried fruit and seed assortments in them in the 5 days we were there the seed bag had no more than 2 teaspoons of seeds in the bottom (god only knows how long they'd been there for). We took the safest option each morning (a cup of tea and a croissant). Definitely no health and safety checks at this hotel.

The hotel is well located in a quiet side street near the Gare de l Est, surrounded by by numerous bars and restaurants. The room I stayed in was surprisingly large for Parisian standards. Metro and buses are available within 100 meters.
