Only negative couldn't sleep due generator noise all night. Purpose of stay to wake up refreshed for early flight. Both myself and friends stayed in rooms 167 & 170 they had same problems. No sleep but hotel and cleanliness 1 St class

We chose this hotel because our Ryanair flight was leaving quite early in the morning. This is not a hotel to stay if you will visit London, since it take at least one hour to arrive downtown. Very good hotel, it felt like brand new rooms! The restaurant is quite good as well. I want to highlight the very good service done by the restaurant staff. When we complained that one of the food we had ordered was not good, they didn't charge that dish, let us chose another one free of charge and still gave us a discount in the total bill. This is what I call customer care! =)

Great hotel and rooms but very noisy doors housekeeping and doors...unfortunately was almost impossible to sleep from 9:00am due to very noisy housekeeper how were slamming the doors during the cleaning( the doors must be locked open to avoid doors to be opened and closed repeatedly). Room Entrance doors very noisy For the rest, very good staff, food and cleaning

For professional reasons I stay regularly at the Stansted Novotel, it's comfortable with quiet rooms, good internet, good restaurant with early breakfast and convenient shuttle to the airport... I just wonder why there is no toilet brush available in the bathrooms, I feel that this can be embarrassing at times..... Kind regards

Good stay and am familiar with this hotel and have stayed many times over last year or so. I stay with you as I take early flights the following morning so am usually only with you for 4 or 5 hours. My only complaint is have to pay for parking when I’m with you for such a short period of time. Perhaps this could be waived for future bookings for both myself and my wife who also stays with on a similar basis to myself?

Prompt reception, though they never give any information regarding timings for opening hours of the restaurant or breakfast. The room was neat and clean, though there was mould on the bathroom ceiling and the door seemed it had better days. There was little shower pressure as well.

I have frequently stayed at the Novotel London Stansted, either before or after flights. The upgrade following the takeover of the premises (from Hilton) continues to enhance the experience of staying there. Furnishing and facilities are good and the addition of an in-room fridge was a definite bonus. Staff have been consistently helpful and friendly. I have one longer-standing criticism and two critical comments relating to the latest stays: 1. (Long-standing.) I continue to be surprised that rooms designed to accommodate two adults have only one chair. Even in the Hilton days there was always a comfortable chair plus a chair for the work-station/dressing-table. 2. (Recent stays.) On my last two recent stays TV reception for German language channels was poor, with frequent breaks in transmission. Error messages on-screen referred to (from memory) "weak or no signal" and advised "checking aerial connection". 3. (Latest stay.) Before my latest stay I received e-mails, as usual, encouraging me to check-in online. This time I did indeed use online check-in, but can in retrospect see no advantage whatsoever in the procedure. I still had to queue at the reception desk to receive my key, without any obvious time saving benefit. I will certainly stay at the hotel again and would advise other users of the airport to do so. The criticisms are minor and would, I imagine, be easy to address.

Difficult to know what to write as everything was fine. Two minor criticisms are: 1. Your bar and restaurant prices are rather high 2. Shower has no grab handles. These are a very important feature for older or infirm people.

Having previously stayed in this hotel back in 2005, when it was a Hilton, I knew that rooms on the front of the building have views of the departing/arriving aircraft. I had quite clearly stated in my on-line check-in that I would appreciate such a room, and I must admit that over several years as a Le Club Accor Gold or Platinum card holder, I've grown accustomed to having such requests fulfilled. Was given room 275 at the back of the hotel, which was definitely not what I asked for, and when I called the front desk to inquire, I was told that it was either this, or a similar room 4 doors down in the same corridor. In the room I found that there was only a bedside table on one side of the bed - never seen that in a Novotel anywhere before, and not practical when we were two people sharing the bed. There was also only 1 chair in the room - should I let my wife stand up, or should I stand myself? There was a large brown stain on the carpet and the shower is in serious need of rinsing/maintenance as practically no water came out of it. While the maintenance staff is in the room, they should fix the air condition as well - it didn't work at all (its display was completely blank and nothing happened when operating the buttons!) Having to pay 20 GBP for parking the car overnight is a bit steep, when we're also paying guests in the hotel! I was given a welcome drink coupon, but it was only valid for myself; not for both of us in the room. At the other hotels on this trip (2x Mercure hotels, also in the UK) we were given welcome drinks for both occupants in the room. Le Club Accorhotels Gold and Platinum members are entitled to a "Welcome Amenity" according to the programme. I don't know what this should be in your hotel, but I got nothing! (In the last two Novotels I stayed in during the past month, I got a bag of homemade crisps in one hotel and a cheese platter from the hotel restaurant waiting for me on the desk in my room in the other - both of them accompanied by handwritten notes from the hotel management welcoming me in their hotels). So overall I must say that I'm quite disappointed with the treatment I got in your hotel... On the positive side, your breakfast buffet was quite good, although I would suggest that you acquire a second coffee machine - the queue was quite long. We would have done our very best to accommodate your request for a runway view, though these rooms may not have been available at the time. Having reviewed your bill, I was unable to see a charge for parking. Our resident guests would usually pay £8.00 for an over night stay with us. Extended or additional days parking is £20.00 per day unless a parking package has been purchased. its about 15 minutes away from aiport but there is a bus which you have to pay and which is going every 30 minutes Kitchen is unbelievable , they really dont have a clou how to cook, Honestly as a gold member of accor, this is a cheap IBIS and absolutly not a novotel level
