Comfortable Stay with Noise Concerns

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at ibis Styles Port Macquarie. The room provided was comfortable and well-equipped, offering a relaxing environment during my visit. However, I did encounter some noise disturbances in the mornings, which affected my overall experience. Despite this, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the amenities provided were satisfactory. With some improvements to address the noise issue, I would happily consider staying at the hotel again in the future.

Not a boutique hotel

Unfortunately this is not a boutique hotel My room is in a separate building across the car park and up 2 flights of steps with no lift (no offer of help to try and get my suitcase up the many stairs). The rooms are dingy, dated, musty and the carpet is disgusting. They say it comes with a hairdryer but it’s one of those rubbish attached to the wall in the bathroom ones. Nothing in the minibar is complimentary - not even the water. There is a lot of noise at night. The door has no lock or safety feature so I have a chair pushed up against it at night. The blinds on the window do not sit flush so everyone can see into your room and it lets a lot of daylight in. Looking at the breakfast menu I am not going to bother trying it. I asked for a nicer room in advance and they said they were fully booked but then were giving out nicer rooms at reception when I was in there. The staff on reception are friendly and the location is nice but that’s the only positives.

Pet Firendly stay

We found the hotel to be very well located and the fact that the Ibis Styles offers Pet Friendly accommodation is a big plus and reason we decided to stay there. Thanks Ibis Styles we will stay again.

Good location but pitiful breakfast

The hotel is situated on a busy road, but in a great location close to town beach. The view was amazing. We stayed for two nights and the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom only had a sliding door, so did not close properly. The balcony was very small. We could hear all the room doors slamming shut, which made it noisy. The hotel's biggest downfall was the continental breakfast. The room was much smaller than it looks and a staff member was watching everything we ate, which was very intimidating. There was very little choice and not much was laid out. Some type of cold meat and cheese was available, but we had to get it from the fridge, along with the milk, yoghurt and juice. There were no signs to say it was there. The cheese slices were all wrapped up in cling film. The coffee machine didn't work on the first day. Gluten free bread was provided, but there was no separate toaster for it. I wouldn't rush to stay again.

Excellent hotel - facilities & location were great - spacious rooms and well priced. This is a pet friendly hotel too! Staff were professional, very pleasant to deal with and always accommodating - would happily recommend this hotel.
