Excellent service, very nice rooms, hotel is like brand new, very well located (300 meters from the medieval city), and extremely quiet. Good restaurant too with good mocal meals and great breakfast.

The hotel itself and our room were nicely appointed and clean. However, the experience was not pleasant. We went to the restaurant for dinner. It was completely empty and my son had to go look for an employee who acted very put out that we wanted dinner. Ultimately we went elsewhere to eat and had a nice meal. The air conditioner in our room ran constantly but the room was so hot that it was difficult to sleep. Then in the morning there was no water (I realize that you were not made aware that this was going to happen), but it was still frustrating to be unable to take a shower. The only reason I have rated our experience a 5 instead of lower is the lovely lady at the desk when I checked out (mature, blond hair, name started with M). I told her that our room was hot and without water. She was very polite and friendly, asked me to wait and ran (literally) and got a bag with a bottle of wine and a bottle of apple juice. This woman is the entire reason that I would consider staying at your hotel again. I run a business and I recognize this woman as a gem!

« A satisfying two night stay. »

First of all, we felt really welcome at your hotel. The breakfast was amazing and the hotel looks great. Unfortunately, the spa didn't live up to the expectations and in room 103 was a constant food smell which was a bit disturbing. Other than that, we were pretty pleased by the experience and we might come back.

Choosing the Binderbubi hotel to stay is the perfect choice. I initially booked a standard room but it was upgraded to junior suite during check-in. This was very pleasant surprise. Hotel is just a couple of minutes walking from old town which is very picturesque. After you have sightseeing you can enjoy wellness in the hotel. Breakfast is good enough but it is the same as you find in Ibis or Novotel hotels. The only drawback is odor nuisance in bathroom. It seems that trap in drain pipes is not working as it used to.

Mercure Hotel Sighisoara was the perfect choice for our trip. Hotel exceeded my expectation, very close to the city center and all the restaurants and terraces but in a quite area. Rooms were big and very clean. Staff was friendly and very well informed about the nearby attractions. breakfast was tasty and plenty of choices.

We’ve been impressed by the upgrade to presidential suit that is amazing. The hotel is quite original. Location is great, not too closed, not too far to the city center. Large car parking. We enjoyed a very good breakfast in the morning. Personnel was very nice and helpful. Definitely we’ll come back.

Arrived at the hotel, checked in and went to the room. Room was fine apart from the lack of power outlets in sensible locations. e.g coffee machine and kettle were on a built in cabinet but no power outlets near, had to connect it to one near the door to the room. We went down to the restaurant for early evening meal and had to ask THREE members of staff if we could get a meal. Third time eventually lucky. Although a large tour party arrived a while later and we had a long wait to get the bill to sign. The server eventually came over to us and just took our room number and we left the restaurant. The following day we went for breakfast to find the tour group were already in place and not much food on the plates to select. On getting a coffee the machine was saying "coffee not available" as no beans in it, I asked one waitress who was busy texting on her phone if she could fill it up and I got a huff from her and she went to get some more beans. After we left the restaurant we went to the reception and asked to speak to the manager to make a complaint, the receptionist just looked at us, did a "goldfish" impersonation and then asked us again what we wanted! A female staff member (think the duty manager) then came out of the office and asked what we wanted. We explained about the poor staff attitude in the restaurant and she agreed with us, apologised to us and said she would have a word with them. She later came to our room with a bottle of wine to apologise a second time. (also deducted the meal charge from the bill). The second day we went to the spa in the basement to find no staff attending the area. I went to the reception and was advised that we should change into the bathrobes provided there and take the lift down to the spa again and just use the facilities as the staff member was doing a massage with a client. Whilst in the Jacuzzi another member of public kept using his mobile phone to take photographs of us, I asked him to stop using his phone in the spa and eventually he turned the camera away from us. I feel that there should be notices up to stop the use of mobile phones in a spa as it should be considered a restricted area! Unfortunately this was the first visit for many years to one of the hotels in your group and probably will be lower on consideration when we book future hotel stays.
