Great week at Downtown. Hotel clean and staff so friendly and helpful. Couldn’t fault anything. Beach bar great with QR code ordering so no need to leave your sun lounger as food/ drinks brought to you and everything all inclusive, even Starbucks coffee by the pool area. Enjoyed the free bikes and included trip to the theme/ water park. Great week. Thank you!

Good location

The hotel was fairly well presented. However the rooms are rather dated and Rixos being a luxury brand, I was rather disappointed as I expected better. When we checked into our rooms, I found a used toothbrush had been left in the shower cubicle that made me rather sceptical of the standard of room cleaning. The following 2 nights, my husband and I were bitten by something in bed, I have many swollen marks on my arms. I complained to the reception desk and guest services. Initially they were going to deep clean the room but later decided to move us to a bigger room which was much cleaner. All inclusive food was good but somewhat repetitive. Drinks were also not too bad although some items from the Starbucks were not available throughout our stay. Pool area was nice, a bit of a trek to get to the beach, 3 days into our stay and the lift broke down therefore even more longer to get to the beach. Entertainment could be better especially in the evening. The bands were good but same sort of entertainment every night. Overall my expectations of Rixos was much higher than we got and the excuse that this is the older resort is just not good enough.
