The hotel is good, but there is a couple of things that is good to improve. There is no animators for the guests of the hotel. Too much noise from everywhere, in the Alara theatre is no places to sit down and watch the shows, but there is reserved and empty sofas with tables! We want a late check out and at first the lady on the reception assure us that is fine and possible, but we need to come back on the date that we will leave the hotel. On that date that wasn't possible. Friend of us have a success with the late check out, because her son was with a very hight temperature and it was after begging the receptionist. At fir, day before that, they told her a price per our of $20, the the price was $30. After a lot of arguing they told her $25, and then after the same process, they came to the promised amount per hour from the previous day! That time of dealing with the guest is absolutely unacceptable from the hotel from that type!

We arived late in the night after a long flight and were not greeted to giv us any information not even a welcome drink cases dropped of at door and we had to find someone to help get us to our room. Constant loud music playing all day every day morning until night with no respite time only discoverd quite area by chance while walking.bar staff ignorant and tended to overlook to the point of ignoreing me for young girls or more business looking people. Staff not very proficient in an emergancy my granddaughter cut her foot open on broken glass around the pool(another issue itself) she was handed a napkin by a member of staff to put on it we had to ask him to get a first aider to attend .the first aid person didn't ask questions of how the injury happened no conversation or advice was given at all only put a dab of iodine on and a plaster then left luckely we had got all the glass out this avoidable injury took some of the enjoyment away from our break as my 7 year old granddaughter missed a couple of days playing in the pool and was in pain so couldnt walk far . We had fun and enjoyed our holiday because we are a family who makes good of whatever happens but it was not the 5 star standard I expected

« Great Facilities only let down by being understaffed at very busy periods »

On the whole, excellent. The room was dated and a bit shabbier than we had hoped for but fabulously sized and perfect for our needs. The camp bed was solid and not really Ok to be slept upon but the main bed was big enough for our youngest to sleep with us The Food was fabulous although the busiest times in the buffet restaurant were too busy being unable to get a table and unable to get waiter service at points. When quiet, this was much improved. We used the veranda for most meals after seeing how busy the upstairs buffet was and there seemed to be no reason as to why this was not always available. Bar service was poor at the main bar. Simply not enough staff and waiting for 10 mins to 15mins regularly to get a drink. Table service again not really sufficient for the 3500 guest in the hotel. All that said, the facilities were fabulous for the fitness and the classes run by the gym staff was second to none. Particular mention to Pascal and Bianca Landman in addition to Anna the Tabata instructor and Stas for boxing who were fabulous Great experiences in the A La Carte restairants. Note for Yhahya in the Aegean who was excellent. teppanyaki disappointing. Not really the show one normally expects Guest services seems inadequate. 2 people, one of whom seems almost incapable. At most points there are several reception staff doing nothing and then a huge cue for guest services. Food quality excellent Overall a very positive experience and I have looked at coming back next year

It was our second time that we stayed at Rixos Sungate, this with our newly born son. We were quiet worried about traveling with a 7 month old baby but the overall quality of the services offered facilitated our stay. However there are some small details that could be improved in order to offer the parents a more pleasant stay. Microwave devices in different parts of the hotel, electric kettle in rooms, changing tables in all the toilets in the resort...

The overall experience was good. All the services were up to our expectations and sometimes exceeding them, except maybe for dinner which was not great both at the buffet and in Bonzai. Other than that, the kids center (Rixy) was amazing, the activities were so numerous that we couldn't even try half of them.

My wife had an accident in hotel,and had to use a wheelchair the ramps were all to steep.the restaurant staff made no attempt to find us a table,or make it easier to get about.they never came to ask about my wife's welfare .they spoke very little English, seemed disinterested in any complaint or request we made.they only seemed to cater for Russian,and would bend over backwards to please them .tho hotel was nice food ok music was diabolical 10am till 5 PM just Russian rave music I asked for it to be turned down a little and it was turned up

First thing I want to say about our stay at Rixos Sungate Hotel is about all the staff & all the people who work there so hard every day to provide us a great holiday. A BIG thank you to them! Let's talk about the hotel now. We have asked for a quiet room and yes, we did get it (1651). The room was clean and I can't find anything to complain. Yes, its true, the furniture is a bit outdated (for a 5 star hotel) but that didn't bother us. Its was a family holiday for 3 of us. My son is 10 and he could use the sofa bed. The AC unit (central) tend to be noisy during the night. We had the room cleaned almost every day (we had to ask once or twice). The magnetic cards keys stopped working couple times but that has been fixed quickly by one of the girls at the reception. Yes, it's true, not everyone speaks english but we knew that and I didn't find that a big issue. Only my son perhaps, he was keep asking for a pineapple juice but he got an apple one! :-)) The resort is huge so it will take some time (a day or two) to learn how to orientate or find things around. Everyone is friendly and you'll get your issues sorted if you manage to make yourself understood. I can recommend Dem (Coffee & Tea House) - just ask for a turkish coffee, Aqua Park... For the stuff that you need to pay extra they tend to put the price in american dollars and the exchange rate for converting in euros is a bit not in your favour but I guess that is a common practice everywhere. We have used the ZipLine (thanks Ali) and bungee jumping. A bit too expensive for what they offer. DO NOT use to book a taxi at the reception as they will rip you off. You can use instead a local taxi, just go outside of the resort and look around. In terms of security, we used the safe box provided and I felt that my son (10 years) was ok to wander around by himself during the day to some extent (just use your common sense). The main criticism is in regards of the a la carte restaurants (7). You are offered to use once one of them for free. We were given to choose from 2 of them, but when we tried to book we've been told that Aegean A'la Carte was full (?) so we had to go to the italian one La Rozetta instead. In my personal opinion, when you go in Turkey, you don't try to eat italian food. :-) However, the lamb was delicious that night. The food they serve at the main restaurants Turquoise & Veranda is good, fresh and plenty to choose from. Again, I praise the people that work there! Overall we had a pleasant stay and a great experience at this hotel. Will we back again? Maybe! All inclusive is not always for us so, more likely we will try a different place in Turkey and resort. It was good, but just few points: 1. The toilets was far from pools and it was really annoying, it would be better to construct some simple tiolet arround the pools. 2. You have good entertaining programs but you have to improve your dancing events for guests.

Overall the experience was nice. We liked the quality and taste of the food, the children park and pool, the healthy/young/funky vibe of the outdoor pool/club/fitness area. We were bothered by the following things: at check int we were put in a room that had stains on the bed, loads of long hair on the matteress covers, hair in the bathroom, and loads of dust. The room was completly dirty! We were then moved into a room that was clean, newly renovated, but very noisy, the balcony door would not close, the Pillows (that were stuffed with feathers) stinker, they stinked like old wet chickens (we would recommend that you remove all of them). The lobby is with tiles because it's easyer to clean, and it is still a sea resort, people bring sand and stuff in, but the noise on the lobby is very very bad because of the echo created. apart from that, the doors are do not have frames down, and do not close all the way down so the sound gets in easily. The elevators are not clean, childrens park 2 of our 7 days stay was ok, clean, the rest, the unclean bathroom smell disturbed everyone the whole day, If you really are interested in our opinion and will take into consideration please let us know and we will continuie with our review.

We travelled as a party of 6 being three adults and three children one of whom has autism. We had two rooms one a suite and one standard room. We enquired about late for our son both prior to arrival and in the resort as did our travel agent in the UK. We were finally given our room for an extra three hours after speaking to reception on at least two occasions. Then on the day of departure our key cards would not work and we had been locked out of our room. Following another trip to reception this was rectified but really should not have happened. We found the hotel seemed to cater towards the Eastern European clients over the British and lack of spoken English particularly at Guest Relations and Reception is an issue. This aside we all enjoyed our holiday and will return in the future

No fault to the hotel and service. But too crowded with dominantly Russian tourists. Pool and bar staff are all Russian hardly speak or understand Turkish!! Too many noisy children so if one wants to have a relaxing holiday this is the wrong place. Good for families with children. Food is the best side of the hotel.

Bedrooms dated and unsafe , table stuck together with some sort of gum, very wobbly and unsafe for crawling baby, Settee covered in ants, 7 out of 14 days room not cleaned , most days no towels or toilet paper, spent too much time at guest relations trying to solve the issues. They were not bothered at all. We did not like the dining experience , not enough out side eating areas, this resulted in a noisey canteen not a reasturant. English certainly in the minority which would not be a problem normally but getting drinks at the bar was because they clearly were not able to understand us and were more interested in the Russians and Latvians. Pool area needs more cleaning as most days we sat in the same area with chewing gum and spilt drinks still visible the next day.

I can’t understand why the kiddie pool was the furthest away? There was no ramp or steps into any of the pools so making it hard for my mother in law when entering/exiting the pool. The restaurant was crazy at meal times far too busy and my child was scared as had been bumped into a few times. Your staff hardly any of them actually understand English so it was quite hard communicating with one another. Overall I wouldn’t recommend anyone to your hotel and I won’t be coming back. I hope you can resolve these issues so more people don’t have the same experience we had.
