Its actually our 2nd time in Joy nostalg for this year and it has always been pleasant. My son particularly liked the idea of having a washing machine, a dishwasher and cooking facility in the room. It feels so like home.

I arrived to Joy Nostalg with my family back in September. It's almost two months that we're staying in a suite that has everything we were looking for: kitchen, washing machine and dryer, dining area, a comfortable couch, TVs, etc. The colour tone of the room is very appealing too. There are three main problems: 1) our car got hit in the parking while being parked. We found out about ourselves, no one told us. So I filed a complaint with the hotel. 2) most of the days of our stay, we don't use the hotel's breakfast. On rare occasions we go down to the restaurant to have breakfast. It's annoyng to see that we are charged for one additional breakfast. This is while most days, we don't have breakfast at all. So why doesn't the hotel make a trade-off to compensate for all of the many days we don't use our breakfast voucher. 3) in quite a few occasions, I come back from work to find our room has not been cleaned yet! So then we have to call housekeeping to send someone to clean while we're in the room. However you would like to relax and have privacy after a long day at work, not to have the cleaning to go on now...

Even with 3-bedroom unit, parking slot is only for 1 car... Worst, when we move our 2nd car outside after settling, we're charged for the 3rd hour even if it's just 2 mins beyond the first 2-hours rate...

Comfortable stay. There was no drinking water in the apartment when I checked in. Didn't ask for it as it was late. next day house-keeping left 2 bottles. At check-in I asked for higher floor. Staff said he could not change as pre-assigned. Apartment was back facing and there was construction work going on through the night. It would have been less noisy if floor was higher, or assign forward facing lower floor.

It is really hard not to compare. I have been to different hotels and I have been to Novotel many times and the expectations I have for Joy Nostalg was as great as Novotel hospitality I have experienced every time I stayed at Novotel Araneta. Though the suite room was so great, beautiful and spacious, but I did not feel very welcome. This was the first time I checked into hotel that I needed to buy my own coffee because I asked once for a refill and gave me just 1 set. I felt awkward to ask again. I also needed to ask for amenities, like toothbrushes and the likes, everytime they will clean our room. I think they keep forgetting. The only place that has tissue is the bathroom. One time, they only fixed the bed but didnt clean the whole area. I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights but I guess I would think twice to come back. At least they gave us a slice of cake for our 8th anniversary. Last year we celebrated our 7th anniversary at novotel and they really make our stay memorable. Novotel gave us cake, fruits, gummies for my kids and set our room filled with balloons. But at least I tried how Joy Nostalg was managed by AccorsHotel.

Stayed at more than 15 different hotels in Manila but Joy was the best. The only one negative point was the permanent and offensive smell at the corridor (elevator hall, 19th floor) . Apart from that, everything was good, the spacious room, wifi, breakfast, bed, shower, personnel, location, price and others.
