We stayed for one night at the beginning of the Golden Week national holiday. We did not receive any LeClub loyalty recognition upon arrival (Platinum member). No room upgrade (I give them a pass here, because it was a national holiday and the hotel likely full) and no welcome amenity was delivered to the room. We were not given welcome drink vouchers, and when we asked about these, we were told to "check the room". Needless to say, there were no vouchers in the room. Is this lack of recognition due to it being a shared Huazhu/Accor hotel? Very strange.PROS:- Room rates under the current "Opening Offer" are very competitive- Rooms are very large (much larger than the average hotel room)- Bed is very comfortable- TV had very easy access to the input ports, great for watching movies from your USB device- Shower is very large and water pressure is good.- The location of the power outlets is very convenient, and the outlets near the bed and desk also have USB charging available.- Located directly above the Metro station - VERY convenient.CONS:- Hotel is very new and so has that "new hotel smell". If you are sensitive to smells, it might be worth staying elsewhere. My partner did not sleep well, as she is sensitive to smells.- This hotel takes room payment upon arrival, which created a problem for us when we shortened our stay (we booked a flexible rate). It is now three weeks after checkout and I'm still waiting for a refund to enter my account, though I've been told it is "in process".- A severe lack of storage space. The large wardrobe has no drawers, the bedside tables have no drawers, the large towels are placed on the bathroom bench (there's no rack for them). There's no "bench" for your suitcase - it has to go on the floor or on the sofa.- We were only given one bottle of water for a room with two registered guests.- There are no spoons provided with the coffee cups- There's no "room directory" booklet, which usually has information about hotel services and restaurant times etc. Without it, a guest has to call reception for very simple questions, wasting both guest and staff time.Breakfast in the restaurant was decent, though the "juice" is actually that cordial drink, and not actually fruit juice.Would I return? Given that the hotel gave NO loyalty recognition while in its first month of operation, I'm concerned about loyalty recognition going forward. Maybe we'd give the hotel another chance after the "new hotel smell" has gone.
