Dear all, As discussed and requested, you receive a feedback from our stay from 2 – 7 May 2019. Check-in Mr Zouhair advised me on the phone two days before arrival, that when we arrive, we can go straight to the Villa and the staff there will arrange the check-in for us. Wrong, we have been told that everyone must check-in at the reception. I felt somehow stupid when I told the staff that the reservation supervisor offered us a check-in at the Villa and they looked at me like I was from another planet. Villa Upgraded, wonderful Villa and we enjoyed the villa so much that we requested one day before check-out, 4 May, to stay longer in a Villa and pay for it. My comments and frustration you have in my previous email. Pool cleaning was only once in three days in the four-bedroom villa. That is not enough. Change of Villa was on Sunday, 5 May, no fresh flowers anymore, never received Louvre entry tickets. Only two deckchairs for a three-bedroom (6 people) villa? Minibar Fridge should have Schweppes Tonic when you have a bottle of Gin in the Bar corner. Ice should be in the fridge always. Champagne glasses are missing. Restaurant reservations Villa guests pay a lot of money and should get a priority for the restaurant reservations and should not been sent to the reservation machines in the Lobby area. There clearly must be a difference and an advantage for Villa guests. Butler Service Our Butler Adam was very friendly and helpful and always tried to deliver the best service. But it was a bit difficult to communicate with him and to understand him. On day 1 in the evening, we asked him to make a reservation at the Teppanyaki restaurant. He immediately confirmed that we can eat there the next day at 8pm, no problem. The next day in the afternoon around 3pm when we came back from an excursion, he told us the reservation is now for 18.30h. We were disappointed because that was far too early for us and we had a late lunch at 16.00h. Japanese/Teppanyaki restaurant So we went to the Japanese restaurant on day 2 but as mentioned above, there were no seats free at the Teppanyaki table. When we arrived around 20.30h, we sat outside and the Teppanyaki table outside was empty. We ordered our drinks and food and asked the waiter why there is nobody at the Teppanyaki table outside. He said that they do it inside. When they served us the drinks, another waiter or superior came and ask us if we wanted to have the Teppanyaki dinner at the table outside. We were more than surprised and denied as we were not that hungry anymore and the starters were already on our table. Was there a lack of Teppanyaki cooks that evening? The live music was playing that evening and I had to ask the waiter to switch off the music from the restaurant loudspeaker, about three times until they did it. Clubhouse restaurant A family and we were in the restaurant, nobody else. What a disaster and you better close until you get proper staff and cook there. We had the dinner there on day 1 and thought it would be something special. It was already strange in the afternoon when our Butler asked us if he can order for us the food in advance. We denied and said we decide in the evening what we feel like eating and chose something from the menu. In the evening, when we asked for the menu, they explained us there is no menu. Why our Butler did not tell us that before? They said that they are writing a new menu and in a couple of days they will get it. So we got the appetizers, mezzes, very quickly as they were prepared already. Afterwards, we ordered the main dish for four people, three different plates. We had to wait a long time and the plates were brought at different times and we could not start to eat together. It was like a surprise and who is the lucky one who gets the next plate. Is this a romantic high standard restaurant dinner? We could not even get Lobster. Also the beverages were nothing special as many times mentioned by Mr Zouhair when we made the hotel reservation. The same wines and not even Champagne was available, just Prosecco. Mr Zouhair said that the Club Restaurant has a choice of more exclusive beverages. Also he mentioned, that if other people from the hotel would like to eat there, they pay an extra fee of $100.- Why should anyone pay this amount when you get the same food and beverages which are served in the other restaurants? Restaurant is not open as said 24 hours. Description from your website Dine in an exclusive venue reserved only for guests residing in our luxury villages. The Club House serves a variety of international cuisines to tantilise your taste buds in an intimate setting. For refreshments throughout the day and evening, the comfort of the Club House will not disappoint. Service Hours: 24 hours Arabian/Turkish restaurant We had dinner there and it was good but I would not return, menu choice rather limited. Very few people were there. Italian restaurant Good food and attentive staff. Fish restaurant Inside was empty and we sat outside on the wonderful terrace and were maybe the last table to order food that evening. Service very, very slow, lots of waiters without paying attention to our table, they were more inside and doing other things. They forgot our main dish and we had to remind them that we are not finished with eating. No wine service, rather poor service. Food was good. Survey by email Should be addressed properly to the sender, not with a wrong name as in my case, I am not Marianne Nelly S.. I would understand if above issues happened in the first quarter after opening but not half a year later. Lots of improvements and staff training must be done in our opinion. Furthermore, you cannot offer a service which does not exist in the case of the Clubhouse. Probably not a lot of people are taking time to write a feedback and you will never get to know where you need to do the improvements. As long as the hotel is full, you pay less attention to comments. Anyway, I used to work in the hospitality business and maybe that is why I feel like sending you this rather long feedback. Staff very good.. In the buffet Brenda, Richard, Joan and the Manager took particular care of us and we were entertained by Rommel. Our room 3322 was always very clean. There were lots and lots of children staying when we were there and it would have improved if one small section could be an "Adult Only" area. The other complaint is the lack of toilets around the grounds of the hotel. Another set of toilets are needed either on or near the beach entrance. It is a very long walk to the nearest toilet if you are sunbathing on the beach. The toilets by The People's Restaurant during the day needed cleaning more often as people came in straight from the pool.

Fabulous hotel and rooms and the lobby area and main restaurant are amazing. The choice of drinks and food is huge and this excelled our expectations. There were a few little points, the guest room wasn't always stocked with tea/coffee/milk and toiletries and cleaned sufficiently. Some excellent staff Rommel and Matt in the outside restaurant, Paris in Peoples. There were no toilets near the lounge whilst having drinks which was a main issue for me. Also if you're on the beach there are no toilets its a long walk back, there are just not enough toilets in this hotel. It was a very busy hotel. People did reserve beds without being on them during the day. the seats near the pool bar were occupied all day by sunbathers so you couldn't just sit and have a drink. The lounge bar there were long waits on drinks during the evening. The food in Peoples was amazing and service was great. The Spa was stunning although the treatments were far too expensive so we asked if there were any special offers and there were none so we didn't have treatments. If they were more reasonably priced we would have. We had an amazing holiday, it was beautiful being in your hotel.

For us as a couple too many children and unfriendly Russians. Hotel needs to be a bit stricter and stop children riding around in restaurants on s cooters. Also on beach make sure designated areas are enforced.

The hotel rooms were too small. We booked for a family of 4 and family of 3 and get two rooms with two single beds. When we complain about this we are told it’s British Airways fault for booking it like that. I blame both Rixos and BA as both knew the amount of people we staying in the rooms. You can’t book the restaurants as they are booked fully so there is no point in doing that. I have stayed at lots of hotels in Abu Dhabi and this is the last time I would stay there.

From the gentleman who I spoke to over the phone to make my reservation, to the wonderful welcome and upgrade we received at check-in and to the amazing Maadi at the Seafood Restaurant, and the pool bar staff who helped us to recover our lost phone and hat, glasses. Very nice stay again. We have only one comment and that was that at breakfast and in the outside lobby bar we had to ask for drinks and waited along time every time we went. It was clearly pretty busy, I think you need to put more staff on. Other then that, we had a lovely time and will return :)
