In short, we stayed two nights at the Lost Camel Hotel. The room was clean and generally comfortable. However, the room had no direct sunlight/windows(!) (the bathroom has a milk-glass window and some of that light in turn feeds through to the bedroom). Beyond this, the main disappointment during the stay were a number of experiences with reception staff. For example, we stopped at reception to unload bags from the car only and were immediately told that only buses were allowed to stop there (but nobody offered to help with the luggage either...??). The 'straw that broke the camel's back' was when at checkout time, even though our reservation and confirmation showed a checkout time of 12, we were told that "It is this hotel's policy that checkout time is 10, no matter what your booking says." I feel this is completely unacceptable and in my view a breach of (booking) contract - not even mentioning, terrible customer service.

Awesome location within the resort facility. Staff was extremely helpful with setting up excursion on a last minute basis. It made the trip even better. Prices were reasonable considering where you are staying (National Reserve).
