There were a few hiccups during our stay, right from check-in. For a five-star property, the hospitality standard expected was just not there as a whole.

Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention. We are truly sorry that one of your rooms was not made up upon check-in and that there were items missing from the new room assigned to you. This is not the level of service we strive to provide, and we have addressed this with our housekeeping team to ensure it does not happen again. We also apologize for the issues with the air conditioning in one of your rooms and the key card failures. Our maintenance team has been notified and will work to resolve these issues promptly. We are delighted to hear that Shawne provided you with courteous and helpful service during check-in. However, we acknowledge that there is room for improvement in the training of our other staff members, and we will take steps to enhance their skills and service delivery. Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities, and we regret any inconvenience these issues may have caused. Not the Movenpick quality I was expecting

Tired looking hotel with many attention to detail issues. Not the quality I expect from Mövenpick, let alone a 5 star establishment. - Shower head in the bath tub didn’t work. Light switches were all wired up incorrectly, none working as it should. I had to even get ready in the dark as I couldn’t find a way to ‘only’ keep the bathroom light on. Either all on, the corridor only, or the bedroom only. The AC couldn’t be set lower than 22.5, which is way too warm for us. The internet connection throughout the room was insufferably slow. Pool was slippery and full of algae, many missing pool tiles, cracked edges and whatnot. Felt like a 3-star hotel more than anything. - Upon check out, we were greeted by not one, not two, not three, but no less than 10 false fire alarms. As it was clear there’s no real emergency, we had to struggle to get down with all of our suitcases. - The staff at the check out was not even acknowledging the discomfort this caused to the guests, no sorry, no nothing - didn’t even ask how the stay was, she couldn’t be bothered. A simple professional apologies and a pair of listening ears to the customer - regardless if a flying flip was given - would really change how I look at my stay experience here. - Shouldn’t complain too much for the price, I guess, but this left me with a big question mark if Mövenpick is a hotel brand I can trust for quality stay moving forward.
