Staff was pleasant and attentive. Too much perfume or deodorizer used in lobby. Doormen were excellent. Room could have been vacuumed better. Restaurant food was mediocre. Too much perfume or deodorizer in the front lobby.

« It was a very nice stay, with a few small dilemmas. »

The experience at your hotel was very nice. However, I added that it was my mother’s 50th birthday in the reservation and questioned if they provided anything for that in the special request section and there was no response relating the subject and nothing done. There was also a mistake within my reservation. I clicked four people for the breakfast buffet for two days and it ended out only buying it for one of the four people. We also did not use the buffet the second day because of this, even though I did pay for it. The safe stopped working at one point and required the maintenance man to make four trips to our room late at night when my older grandparents were trying to rest. Besides those dilemmas, the hotel was very clean and relaxing.

Everything about my room was very good with the exception that there were small little bugs on my credenza. At first I thought they were small ants then realized they weren't. I used my credenza to do some work and about every few minutes or so there was a little bug on the counter or crawling on my hand. they didn't bite or sting, just annoying. Aside from that all was good. I had the opportunity to eat breakfast on one day and it was fine. The meeting rooms were adequate. Walking from the hotel to downtown Brickell doesn't feel very safe as it's not well lit walking by the "park".

« Nice hotel »

It was fine but it was a business trip so couldn’t take advantage of any of the facilities. I arrived late, I slept, I woke, I went to meetings and I checked out. So expensive for a 12 hour stay but I didn’t pay my work did, except for expensive tuna on toast.

There needs to be an organized line for check in & check out. It's a free for all. There is a small snack are for purchase of items but never have appropriate money to make change. Tip is added at restaurant automatically. The service in the restaurant is terrible, I guess bc they know they are getting a tip anyway. The food is cold for breakfast buffet. If I'm paying 20, I want hot food. The sink stopper in the room was stuck closed. The double lock on the door was broke. And the mattress was like sleeping on a concrete wall.

Pleasant and helpful staff contributed to making our stay positive. We were part of a wedding group and enjoyed the opportunity to be together with other guests in the public areas in the lobby and around the pool, as well as an evening reception. The rooms were simply appointed but clean. The food in the restaurant was good. The staff was extremely helpful.

When we arrived I was told the system didn’t update to show my new arrival date and there wasn’t a room for me until the next day. The man at the front made it seem like it was my fault despite the fact that I had a confirmation email with the correct information. They were able to get me a room eventually, but then our keys stopped working a day prior to our departure because the system had the wrong check out date. We never got a welcome bag for the wedding at check in. The people at the front were just rude.

« Our stay was not memorable. »

The rooms were not very clean. You could see hair on the bedding and the floors had not been vacuumed. Bathroom floors and countertop were also dirty. Our room was not turned over the entire two days we stayed. There was a sign on the door specifically stating to please clean our room. When we mentioned this at the front desk they blamed us for not telling them. Saturday night the bridge was closed and we had to walk 5 miles to the hotel. We arrived exhausted at 3 a.m. The water dispenser was empty and instead of filling it we were charged for water. I mentioned to them the situation and we were told if we wanted water we would have to pay for it. I woul not recommend this hotel.

My wife and I checked in a little later than we had expected, but that didn't affect our welcome. We felt expected and were greeted and recognized for being Accor Platinum. We received a nice room upgrade with a corner room that was large and well equipped. The room was clean and well designed. Our welcome gift was already in the room. We liked that it was something different. A lot of hotels give fruit baskets, but with only one night to stay, the gift was appropriate and easy for us to finish. The welcome drinks were nice as we had a great selection of drinks to choose from. We had our dog with us and all the staff seemed to be friendly enough to him. It's always great for us to be able to find dog friendly hotels and we're happy that this hotel is. Ulis in valet parking was really hospitable during our whole stay. We had a nice conversation with him and he's a great person to give people a first and/or last impression of the hotel. My wife and I enjoyed the breakfast. The server (his name escapes me right now) was very engaging, genuine, and good at his job albeit maybe his personality isn't for everyone. Lastly, we were really pleased to receive a late checkout. The receptionist (Chinese name starting with X) handled our request with ease and professionalism even though we had heard the hotel was busy that morning with new guests checking in. We came down from Orlando and would certainly consider doing so again because we enjoyed our stay so much. We're glad this hotel is a part of the Novotel and Accor family.
