My disabled room was too far from the front desk for me to walk. Disabled parking spaces were taken up by non disabled drivers. I had to run the gauntlet of smokers congregating outside the main entrance. Not s disabled friendly hotel.

« Not the best view, but a comfortable stay »

I was put in a room at the back of the hotel on the ground floor, with a full dumpster of trash just outside my window. This meant that I couldn't really open my window as it smelled. Luckily it wasn't too warm and the fan provided in the room helped keep things cool enough without opening the window. I kept the curtains drawn the whole time. Otherwise, however, everything was clean and comfortable, so I had no other complaints. Breakfast wasn't great - rubbery eggs and mushrooms at least - but a good enough variety that something edible was available. Coffee was good.

« Good conference facilities and easy access to the train station »

I stayed at the Telford Centre Hotel for a conference. The conference facilities were comfortable and accessible. There was an especially nice little seating area with coffee, tea, and snacks which was perfect for networking and catching up with peers. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. My stay in the hotel itself was less lovely. The rooms were stuffy and hot regardless of the outside temperature. The windows only opened about 4 inches wide and while fans were provided they did little to cool the room. It may be helpful if fans that fit in the window gap were available so the cooler outside air could be brought in to the hotel itself.

Was perfect and very clean. Staff upon entrance extremely welcoming and offered us a drink. Nice hotel in general. Only issue i had was the room was too stuffy had no Air conditioning. There was a fan which is a factor but it wasnt very good. Room was very hot at some points

« Sweaty room, hot/cold shower, appalling dinner service but sound conferencing facilities »

The rooms are in desperate need of air conditioning, they were unbearably hot, so much so I would not stay again in summer. My shower flashed between hot and cold water despite my attempts to get it to stay constant. The waitress who served us at dinner was diabolical. She was rude, incompetent and downright neglectful. Only the short red-headed manager really saved you from a full blown complaint. She was clearly doing 3 people’s jobs and should be commended. Your conferencing facilities continue to be totally serviceable and comfortable for attendees...ie there is air conditioning!

Rooms were lovely after refurb except there was a stain on the carpet as they hadn't been changed. The beds were much better than before. Breakfast has gone downhill significantly, no weetabix which is all I eat for breakfast so all I ate was a banana and had a coffee every morning. My wife said the cooked breakfast was not hot all 3 mornings we were there, the mushrooms looked awful and the rostis weren't nice either, the hash browns from before were so much nicer. The children missed the cookies that you used to provide at breakfast also. Apart from breakfast everything else was lovely

The hotel was very nice and the breakfast was lovely, however we were unable to use the pool as it was closed for the duration of our stay. We would have preferred to have known about this instead of finding out via a notice on the reception desk.

On arrival reception staff were friendly. The rooms were basic but clean. Good selection at breakfast and dinner was good. Staff were always cheerful and helpful in the restaurant and bar. Disabled room would have suited us better with a roll in shower not a bath.

The staff were friendly however we were given the wrong room because of a system error and had to sleep in two separate rooms, were woken up at 6.45am by workmen outside our window and the locks on the window were broken and a hazard, particularly for people with young children staying on the second floor.

First disappointment: I had booked this hotel via Accor because of the loyalty program. On arrival I am told that the hotel does not participate in the program. Bed (very good) was new as well as the carpets. The rest..... No aircondition in rooms, and that in a newly re-opened Hotel!
