The experience is not what you expect of a brand like Novotel. I visit many Accorr group facilities each year but this hotel fits in the category Ibis or lower. It starts upon arrival, people at the door do not collect your bags and the reception is not really friendly. The hotel looks run-down, and not cozy at all. In principle the rooms are quite big. Breakfast is so-so. I still can not believe why the French group Accorr cannot provide good croissants and serves 'Blue Band' butter, which is no butter but just an awful margarine.

Title: Mixed Feelings About My Stay at Novotel Gajah Mada Jakarta I recently stayed at the Novotel Gajah Mada in Jakarta, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. The hotel boasts a prime location which indeed made my stay more convenient, but there were several aspects that fell short of my expectations. Firstly, the service was underwhelming. The staff's responsiveness and attention to detail did not meet the standards I anticipated for a hotel of Novotel's reputation. A specific instance that left me disappointed was the housekeeping service. Despite my request for a bedsheet change, it was overlooked, raising concerns about the overall attentiveness and efficiency of the housekeeping staff. The breakfast offered was just mediocre. While I understand that catering to a wide range of tastes can be challenging, the variety and quality of food did not live up to the standard I've come to expect from a hotel breakfast buffet. It was, in a word, unremarkable. Another aspect that added a layer of inconvenience to my stay was the complicated parking situation. Navigating the parking arrangements was more challenging than anticipated, which, in my opinion, could be streamlined for a smoother guest experience. One of the reasons I chose Novotel Gajah Mada was its promising location, and on that front, it did not disappoint. The hotel's location is indeed its saving grace, offering easy access to various points of interest in Jakarta. This convenience was a significant factor that enhanced my stay. However, I was particularly let down by the inclusive packages that were advertised in conjunction with Mothercare. The offerings and benefits were not as described on the hotel's website, which was misleading and resulted in unmet expectations. In conclusion, while the advantageous location of Novotel Gajah Mada in Jakarta provided a solid base for my visit, the overall service, housekeeping, breakfast quality, parking arrangement, and discrepancy in advertised packages left much to be desired. I hope the hotel takes this feedback into consideration and makes the necessary improvements to elevate the guest experience to the high standard Novotel is known for.

Disappointing Stay for Platinum Member: Lackluster Service and Parking Woes at Novotel Gajah Mada

The stay at this hotel was highly disappointing. Despite being a platinum member of the Accor Group, I did not receive the expected treatment. Tier amenities were lacking, and there was no communication regarding this issue. Additionally, obtaining technical assistance for fixing the smart TV internet connection took nearly an hour and required two calls to reception. Furthermore, the parking experience was extremely poor. Despite the hotel's awareness of insufficient parking, there were no attendants to direct guests to alternative spaces when the hotel parking was full. I had to navigate parking on my own, spending nearly 30 minutes circling the hotel complex and eventually parking in a distant building. I urge the hotel to improve its service, particularly in communication with top-tier members and providing expedited technical support. I'm not demanding excessive service, but if you're unable to provide what's entitled to my tier membership, at the very least, you should inform me. Additionally, dedicated parking attendants are necessary to ensure a more comfortable and enjoyable stay for guests.

Triplederby Business - TripAdvisor review

Hotel needs alot of improvement. Management is very bad. Never answer calls and the room service is very slow. Check in time takes longer. Not to mention the Room is very dark and is in a bad condition too. I checked in at 11pm. Air conditioning was leaking from the ceiling and the sound was waking me up at 1am. I didn’t bother to change the room as it was very late. Turn off the AC and the i was asleep with no AC the whole night. Luckily i only stayed for a night. No soundproof. It was tiring night.
