This is a very up-market looking hotel, set in the forest, which emphasises its amazing setting. Although this is a very stylish hotel, some simple things are missing. There's no plug in the wash basin which means that you waste a lot of water, trying to wash. There's only 1 suitcase stand, most couples travel with 2, or more! There are only 5 hangers in the wardrobe and these are the type which can't be replaced. Despite asking for more, none were added. There is also very little storage space apart from 4 shelves at the side of the wardrobe below the safe. I wonder is that because most people are only here for a couple of days. Room 235 is a large room with a very comfortable king-size bed and a single bed as well. There is an in-room safe, tea/coffee making facilities and a large TV as well as a small fridge which contains the mini bar. There is good bedside lighting as well as an LED light on a flexible stalk which allows someone to read in bed without disturbing the other person. There is a large bedside table, but a smaller table with a drawer for "hiding" things might be better. Overall, the lighting in the room is excellent. The bathroom is large and equipped with a bidet, which doesn't have a plug, as well as a large waterfall shower. The tiled floor in the shower has lots of nonslip strips which make it easier to use, however because the hotel is a large complex with rooms spread out over the site it can take hot water some time to arrive. Breakfast is a buffet with the usual selection of juices, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, etc. There is a selection of breads and pastries as well as cold ham and cheese. The only hot items were scrambled eggs, chunks of sausage and enhanced eggs with chives and a potato topping. There's a large variety of fresh pastries available, these seemed very popular. The food was good, but the replenishment of items seemed a bit haphazard. We ate in the dining room each evening of our 3 night stay. The food was very tasty and well presented with a wide choice of dishes. Prices for both food and wine were very reasonable, considering the quality and location of the hotel. We also had lunch here on our final day. The empanada selection had 3 different types which were very tasty, and the pizza was more than enough for 1 person and had plenty of toppings. The hotel has a swimming pool, a spa, a small gym and a reading/work area with a small selection of books available.

The meat at the BBQ dinner was almost inedible as it was so tough. Our taxi pick up to the airport was given away by the staff to the wrong party leaving us stranded at the hotel. The reception did act quickly when asked to book us an alternative cab and we just made our flight. The combination of poor food at the restaurant and average staff service left us disatisfied with the experience.
