Avoid… especially room 407!

TripAdvisor rating 1.0/5

Lardie Business - TripAdvisor review

Room vile. Chipped bathroom fittings and walls. More like a hall of residence. Was allocated room 407. Ensure you don’t travel with a cat as you certainly could not swing it in the room! Car parking ok. Pizza in bar pretty average. Would not return or recommend The room was booked for me by a client.

average room, good location

unfortunately the room I stayed in has been very old, a lot of usage marks in the bathroom, and very noisy during the night; also not much space to even open a suitcase

Hello Phil, Thanks for taking a moment to leave a review. It's great that you appreciated our prime location - we indeed love being right at the heart of Bristol. It sounds like the room didn't quite hit the mark for you, and we're sorry to hear that. We pride ourselves on the uniqueness of our historic building and we regret that the room felt dated to you. We do have a variety of room sizes available, and while space can be a premium in historic buildings like ours, we aim to ensure every guest has a comfortable stay. As for the noise, we understand the importance of a good night's rest and offer earplugs for lighter sleepers. Our team is constantly on hand to assist with any discomforts our guests might experience during their stay. We hope that you will return in the future for a more enjoyable stay. Cheers, Mahesh, General Manager

Cold. Over priced. Avoid

faysherree Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

Cold. Over priced. Small. Room heated by small oil radiator. Made complaint. Was offered to relocated. Was advised it was also likely to be cold. Issues referred to an invisible twice. No one available. For £200+ a night hotel. This isnt even what I expect from a 50quid travel lodge.

Better than expected

Clare A TripAdvisor review

Better than expected. Room was small but had everything needed. Bathroom was nice with toiletries. Location excellent. Staff very helpful and breakfast was good value for money. Asked for a quiet room and got one tucked away. No view bit also no noise so perfect for our needs.

Hi Clarea, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. It’s a pleasure to know that your peaceful room met all your needs and you found our bathrooms to your liking. It's also great to hear that our central location made your stay in Bristol convenient, and that our team was able to assist you. Your kind words about the value of our breakfast have made day! We hope to see you again soon for another tranquil stay, or perhaps next time you might fancy a room with a view—just let us know your preference! All the best, Mahesh, General Manager

Great location. Close to St Nicks market and walking distance or cheap taxi to Clifton and other areas. Only reason it’s not a 10 is that the toilet seat was broken when I arrived

Dear Christopher, Thank you very much for your feedback. It's fantastic to hear that our prime location added value to your visit, and having St Nicks market and Clifton within a stone's throw really is a treat! Plus, who doesn't love a good bargain when booking directly, right? As for the cheeky toilet seat incident, I'm glad it didn't dampen your spirits. We're all about solving problems swiftly here, but clearly, you're the kind of person who doesn't sweat the small stuff – we admire that! It would be a pleasure to have you return on a future occasion. All the best, Mahesh, General Manager
